Demigods meet Wizards

Chapter 2: Nikki

(A/n So, how is it so far? I'm terribly sorry for not including Reyna, Nico, or Thalia in this, but rest assured my OC's will be enough to fill their absence.)

"Another dam quest? Come on, can't we have a break!?", Percy shouted, the others murmured in agreement. A ton of reactions to what mom said spread across the table, Annabeth covered her face with her hands, Leo's hands burst on fire and Calypso put her hand on his shoulder to calm him down, Frank and Hazel looked like they were sucker punched and Nick pounded his fist on the table.

"It pains me to not let you rest after your difficult and tiring journey, but this quest is fairly easy.", Mom said as she waited for the noise to settle down before explaining what our quest was. "In the ancient times, when mortals knew of our existence, I blessed 4 mortals with the gift of magic. Their names were Godric Gryffindor, the bravest. Rowena Ravenclaw, the brightest. Helga Hufflepuff, the most caring. And Salazar Slytherin, the most cunning.", She stopped for a second for this piece of information to sink in, then she continued. "In a few years time, they founded a school called-" she hesitated, "Hogwarts." The name had it's desired effect: all demigods were laughing, me included. After the laughter died down, she continued.

"They taught the young and eventually became a whole community known as wizards. Now the wizarding community and the school still flourish and live in peace. Keeping their existence from mortals like we do. But a dark wizard named voldemort-", Everyone snickered, "threatens to destroy their tranquility. He is currently rising to power with only one person able to stop him.", Mom waved her hand and an image of a boy who looked like Percy came into view. The only difference between him and Percy was that this boy had emerald eyes and a lightning shaped scar on his forehead.

"His name is Harry potter, and he is the one destined to destroy the dark lord. But the time for that is still far away, and the boy is currently a student in Hogwarts.", Several smirks and giggles spread out again. "Your quest", Mom continued, "is to protect him for this year because the dark lord has something planned for him"

"That's it? Go to some wizarding school and protect Percy's look alike?", Frank asked, Mom looked at him and said,
"Hogwarts has it's own fair share of dangers, Zhang. It won't be as easy as you think.", Mom said with a stern look. Frank whimpered a bit and shifted a little more closer to Hazel. "Now, your oracle will provide your prophecy for this quest.", Mom stepped aside and Rachel took her place.

"Uhm, thanks Lady Hecate. Okay here goes guys.", She said as she closed her eyes, green mist surrounding her.

"Magic's child will be shielded,
Demigod's rewards will be yielded,
New friendships will be kindled,
But beware of the boy called riddle."

Rachel slumped into her seat, we all looked at each other. Annabeth's face showed a look of concentration, she was already trying to figure out the prophecy. Meanwhile, Chiron's voice rang across the room.

"Alright demigods, go pack now. You'll find your wands and books on your beds, but the other things you will need to buy for school.", he said. Several demigods looked up, and among them were Leo and Percy.

"School?" They both asked, Chiron nodded, Percy whispered to us in an undertone, "let's hope the teachers don't kick me out. Scratch that, let's hope they don't kick us all out, 10 dislexic and ADHD demigods in school, gods what a nightmare.", everyone laughed at that.

"Well I must take my leave, oh don't worry about the teachers kicking you out, they're used to it. And dear," she looked at me with a pointed look, "don't even try to hide your intertwining fingers with the son of hades, I know about your relationship." She smiled while me and Nick blushed. We all looked away as she glowed and assumed her godly form, and when we looked back, she was gone.

Just as Chiron said, I found a box containing my wand, some clothes that are really ugly, and a letter encased in an envelope. I put my glasses on my bedside table and went to sleep.

I was woken up by someone shaking me by my shoulders. I rubbed my eyes and saw....Nick.

"Oi, what are you doing here? You aren't allowed inside another cabin." I said with a smile, but what I said was true, other campers are forbidden in cabins other than their respective ones.

"True, but your sisters let me in. Don't worry, Mr. D isn't going to know." He said with a chuckle, his blue eyes twinkling as he did.

"Mr. D will go ballistic you know." I said. Mr. D will absolutely go crazy if he found us.

"Hmm.......nah. Besides it's 5 am, Chiron told me to wake you up. The others are already outside." Nick said as he looked out the window.

I blushed, of all the people who could've overslept it was me. I was usually punctual.

"Okay, okay. Get off me so I could get ready." I said, luckily I packed yesterday so all I had to do was get fresh. But soemthing bothered me though, I didn't get a dream last night. That is weird by demigod standards, that or morpheus is being kind for once.

"Sure Nikks." He said as he kissed me on the cheek, I blushed again, I watched as he went out and closed the door behind him. I went into my bathroom and freshened up.

I got outside in less than 30 minutes, the others were still sleepy. Occasionally closing their eyes until someone shakes him or her. Percy was the worst of the group, Annabeth was practically carrying him over her shoulder.

"Anybody know how to wake him up?" She said, looking at us hopefully.

"Oh I know how, Nico told me." Nick said as he stepped forward and leaned into Percy's ear. We all watched in amusement and curiosity.

"OI WAKE UP, OR ELSE WE'LL EAT ALL THE BLUE COOKIES, PANCAKES, AND PIZZA!" He shouted, as soon as Nick finished his sentence, Percy bolted up and got off Annabeth, running towards the pavilion. We heard him shout, "NOT MY PANCAKES!!!". All of us laughed.

"You know what let's join Percy, I'm hungry myself." Frank said as he took Hazel's hand and walked towards the pavilion with the rest of us following.

When we got to the dining pavilion, Percy was already nomming on pancakes and Annabeth sat next to him. We all sat on the same table, Nick was on my right and Jason was on my left. We all ate a hearty meal and just as we finished, Chiron approached us in full centaur glory.

"Children, you have to meet the golden trio to get the rest of your school supplies. Nick will shadow-travel you there, and-" He looked sternly at us, "-behave yourselves." We all chuckled at that and gathered at the center of the pavilion holding hands with each other.

"Everybody ready?" Nick asked, we all nodded. "All right. 3, 2, 1, GO!" The world twisted and I was enveloped by darkness.
