Love Game by Fhrell Cee
Love is a game. I gambled.
I cast the die. It tumbled.
And I did pray to Aphrodite
to give you, my Helen to me.
Although the goddess agreed,
there are still some men I need to rid
so that I alone will have
your undivided love.
I'll choose to sink a thousand ships
or my kingdom forever destroyed
but never will I choose our relationship
and vows be null and void.
So let Zeus, with his lightning strike me
or Apollo ran me over with his chariot
but I will forever be an idiot
loving you for eternity.
So may Eros hit you with his arrow
and Hera bless our being one
for my heart will be forever hollow
if you by my side is gone.
But then I learned that gods are crazy
and all the stars are blind.
So, for all that I have mentioned, baby,
I end with never mind.
A/N: I wrote this as an introduction poem to the novel I was writing before titled Be Mine for Real, My Fake Lover but when I took down that book, I deleted this as well. Be Mine for Real, My Fake Lover was supposed to be the second Book following the book one Don't Fall for Me, My Fake Lover. But I sooner aborted the idea after another title and plot came to me which I wrote as Don't Fall for me But Marry Me. Please check out both book out by visiting my profile. Ciao!
