I stepped quietly onto the mats, nervous. It was the Olympics of 2016 and I was the world champion for gymnastics. Now I needed a gold metal. I saluted the judges and let my hands hover over my last event of the individual meet. Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath. The next thing I knew I was looking at the mats and beam below with my feet above my head. My body was solid, steady, strong. I executed my routine perfectly. I hurtled into my dismount the one only one other gymnast had done in competition, a double tuck full. When I stuck the landing a smile flooded my face.i caught a glimpse of a blonde boy with a beautiful smile cheering loudly at a performance. Something struck me about this boy. As I saluted the judges and ran into my coaches arms, I was in a dream like state. I couldn't get the image of that boy out of my head. My score appeared on the scoreboard. A perfect score! I had broken the record of highest score every given to a gymnast in the olympics. I couldn't stop crying. I was so happy. The meet was over but the judges were tabulating scores. I sat fidgeting with my grips for the bars and had chalk all over my hands before 2 minutes had finished.
"It will be a couple of minutes before the scores are ready, so relax and applaud all the gymnasts who worked so hard to get here." The announcer instructed the huge stadium. It was less than three minutes later when the announcer confirmed the scores were done. I stepped into line with the gymnast from my team, Skylar. We held hands and my knuckles were white from squeezing her hand so hard. The gymnasts all looke hopefully at the announcer.
"Third place for vault. With a 14.8, Skylar Summers!" Skylar was in shock. She quickly jogged up to the podium and took her place. "Second place with a 15.4, Tanvitka strecksmerbhvo." The Russian girl stood up and walked over to the podium calmly. "And first place with a 15.98, Jaylor Wilsen!" I was in shock. The gold medal felt natural around my neck and my dreams were coming true. I was meant to be a champion. I was infinite. The next event skylar and I both placed. The award for beam was amazing. "And breaking the world record for best beam score, with a 21.94, Jaylor Wilsen!" The all around ceremony was amazing. Skylar brought home the gold and me and Tanvitka were neck and neck for first. Too bad I had more talent. "And the gold medalist for the 2016 Rio De Janeiro, breaking the second world record this meet, with a 71.94, Jaylor Wilsen!" When I felt the weight of the 4 gold and 1 silver medal around my neck, I couldn't help but cry. I was the happiest girl in the world. .

This is only the start of my first one, so try to be nice. I'm open for ideas, I am also up for constructive critism. Don't give up on me yet, though. I will try to write at least a hundred words a day, but no promises. Please keep reading though I didn't have much one direction in there yet, it would be nice to have some character development. Thanks for reading! Love you all!
XOXO, Abby
