Peach's POV
We're fine Mrs. Park. Chase replied.
I was shocked by his sudden answer. I was speechless. I didn't know what to do. I didn't expect him to answer at all. He looked at me. I just looked down.
Well that's great news. Mom uttered.
Peach sweetie, I didn't know you and Chase were friends? Why didn't you bother to tell me? Mom murmured again.
I- Um. I started to plead. But then it all went blank. My mind became empty. I'm out of options. I didn't know what to answer.
I thought you knew mom. I answered hoping mom would buy it.
An awkward silence filled the room.
So Peach sweetie, Is Chase and Elaine okay? Mrs. Johnston asked.
They're a happy couple Mrs. Johnston. I see them often being sweet with each other. Infact I think they're a really cute tandem. I think. I-I think they're perfect for each other. I said. It wasn't really that easy to say because I am really affected. I wanted to tell my feelings but I couldn't. As much as I want to think that those words were lies, they were too painful just like the truth.
I looked at their expressions. Chase looked confused. I began to feel confused too. Why was he so negative all of a sudden.
I looked at my food. Half empty. Just like me. I smiled.
I looked at them and smiled again. Mom, can I excuse myself for a bit? I said.
But sweetie, you didn't finish your food yet. Mom pleaded.
It's ok mom. I smiled.
Mom just nodded.
Excuse me for a bit Mrs. Johnston, Chase. I fake smiled. I couldn't really bear the pain. It triggered me to realize that I can never have him.
I stood up and smiled before I left.
I quickly came to my room, locked the door and lay down the bed. I cried. I grabbed my phone and dialed Theo's number.

T-theo. I pleaded between my cries.
Yumi?! What happened?! Why are you crying?! Theo worriedly asked.
Theo. I n-need to see you.
I can't go there. I'm at my friend's house. It's far from there. Theo replied quite down.
I cried harder.
I can skype with you if you want. He uttered again.
Okay. I shortly replied and ended the call.
I sat near the computer and waited for Theo's video chat. And within just seconds he called. I quickly answer it.
I saw him with another boy. I became confused.
Yumi, meet Kyle. He's my friend. He's also a friend of you know who. Theo winked and said.
Yah? Who is she inlove with? Why do I not know this? This Kyle guy said. Theo just looked at him and hit his arm.
