CHAPTER ONE!

I hear my sneakers crunch against the icy grass. Building up adrenaline, running free down the track. Overlapping one, two, three, three people.

Almost At the end, just a little further. I was about one hundred meters away from the finish line, about to be second, when I feel something hard hit my feet. I tumble to the ground with a thud. I hear the populars laughing there heads off as I pull myself off the cold hard ground. I see that the other runners have all finished. I don't bother to walk it to the finish line, I just start making my way back to the changing rooms. "Avery, looks like you had a little accident!" I hear Nicole call out and all of her little minions cheear leaders giggle. I look down and see that the front of my gym shorts are wet. Great. Must of been when the water bottle hit me and spayed up. I feel my face heat up from embarrassment. I hang my head and continue walking.

I feel better once I have changed back into my light blue skinny jeans and cream knit top.

I'm walking down the hall when I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket. It's a message from Tess. HURRY! IM A LONER IN CAFETERIA!! Typical Tess. I don't bother to reply.

As I walk in I scan around for Tess. She is sitting at a table in the back by herself. I slowly make my way over there, when I see Nicole and her little minions with there lunch trays heading my way. Uh oh. I slowly turn back then start walking away. As I turn on my heal somebody pushes out thier chair right into my leg causing me to fall over. Everyone starts cracking up. I look up At they boy who made me fall. He has a hand out streached to help me up. I take it. His hand is warm and sends heat up my arm. "Wow, I knew girls fell for me, but I didn't think it would ever happen litteraly!" He chuckled. I roll my eyes at his comment, up him self much. "Thanks for the help" I say sarcastically. And walk off to Tess. I walk past the she-devil Nicole, they all laugh among them selfs.

I flop down on the seat opposite Tess. "What happened?" She asks slowly eating her sandwich.

"Urg bit of this bit of that." I groan resting my head in my hands.

"Lemme guess, Nicole?" She questions. I look up and give her a yes&no look. She gives me a sympathetic smile then goes back to eating.

The rest of the day felt like it went on forever. I had no classes with Tess and two with Nicole, and being called 'teachers pet' I don't know how many times didn't make it any better. I sat down at the back of the science room writing down the homework and to signal the end of the day the bell goes off. I stuff everything into my bag and start making my way out of class when I hear my name being called. "Ah, Avery. Could you please come here?" Miss Watson call out.

"Yes?" I ask. Not knowing what to expect.

"Avery I need a little favour from you." She continues without me agreeing "you have the highest mark in science so I need you to tutor a student."

"Uh sure?" I say but it came out like question.

"Great!" She exclaimed "you will be helping Noah with class work and the up coming project! I hope you won't let me down" she says and gives me a look telling me its time to leave.

Noah? Who is he? I think about all the guys it could be. Noah? Sounds familiar.

I walk up the pathway leading up to my house. As soon as I open the door silence fills my ears. Mom must be out with her mystery man who luke(my brother) and I haven't gotten the pleasure to meet.
