The cafeteria is full as it always is. Me and Tess are in the line waiting to get lunch, but by the time we get there all the good food will be gone, yay salad! I think to myself sarcastically, then I remember the text Tess sent me, I could really use some good news.

"Hey, Tess what was it that you empty table near the back, Tess brakes the silence. "The dance is coming up." She says.

"Yea I know, it's gonna be fun, I guess. Do they have a theme this year?" I ask placing my trey on the lunch table.

"Nah, I don't think so."

"Aw, boring, now it's gonna be way harder to find something to wear." I moan, she laughs a little.

"I think white and baby blue would be a good color on you," she says with a smile.

I look down at my trey off food and just push it away, how can they serve this crap.

I hear a chair being pulled up next to me, and it's Noah, I look over at Tess who looks like she's about to have a panic attack,

"Can I help you?" I say trying to play it cool, after he sits.

"Hi to you too," he chuckles, hey, he has dimples, I never knew.

"Hi." I say with a smile making it obvious that it was fake. "Back to my question, can I help you?"

"Yes, you could help by being nicer, your herting my feelings." He says like a little kid and pouts, I laugh a little and just raise my eyebrows at him, hopefully he gets the message that I just want him to cut to the chase.

"Okay,"he continues "I was wondering if you wanted to come over to my house after school, to get started on the project?"

How do I get out of this one? "Um sorry but, I'm gonna be busy... Got stuff to do." I lie avoiding eye contact with him.

"Oh ok," he says sounding a tad disappointed, I think.

"No, she's not busy." Tess blurts out. I shoot her a what-are-you-doing look, but she continues anyway "she will be there, wouldn't miss it, no way." She smiles at him. He looks at me and then to her then claps his hands together, "awesome. See you after school then." Then he leaves. My eyes follow him walking away, but then I catch Nicole stearing at me, wow she looks like she could kill someone. I give her a fake smile then draw my Attenchion back to Tess.

"What was that!?" I explain

"How could you miss a chance like that? And if you go you could like tell me all about his house, oh and could you like take photos for me, oh I know grab something from his room like a t-shirt, oh that would be good, also please try to get a photo for me and if you can-"

"Ohmigod , Tess your crush isn't heathy." I laugh and she just frowns.

The bell rings as we exit the cafeteria, next we have English, with Tess so thank god.

As the the reliever teacher goes on and on about some book that will be our assignment, my phone vibrates in my pocket. I slowly reach for it and see its from Tess. 'THIS IS A BORE!'

'LOL IKR' I reply.

'MAN THIS TEACH IS DUMB, HE HASN'T EVEN TOLD US HIS NAME!'

'LOL THAT'S RELIEVERS FOR YOU!' As I was just about to click send, I hear somebody clear there thought. I slowly look and see that nameless teacher, oh crap. I give a small helpless smile. He extends his hand, "phone!"
