Oh You

For the first time I didn't cry as a shut my eyes and sleep came to me,
For the first time I left my house with a real smile in stead of a fake one,
Because of you,

Because of your sweet nothings,
Because of your beautiful poems,
Simply because of you,

Oh you,
Who's tongue twists words that I find myself reciting just to keep my smile and fight the Sadness inside me,
Oh you,
Who's goodbyes I hated hearing and hello I'd find myself thinking of,

For the first time the pain I've been feeling for so long didn't feel that bad,
For the first time my mind is clear and I didn't feel so conflicted,
Because of you,

Because of your caring demeanor,
Because of your hugs that made me feel something again,
Simply because of you,

Oh you,
Who's words made me laugh when I thought I no longer could,
Oh you,
Who sonnets spoke to me the way no one ever could,

For the first time I wasn't the only one who is scared to show their face,
For the first time I felt myself falling in love and I let it happen,
All because of you,

Because of your effort,
Because of the way you made me feel everything,
Because of you,

You,
Who's smiles warmed my cold outward appearance,
You,
Who's purest love I craved so badly,
Simply because I love you
