Chapter 4- Suspicion

*2 months later*

All of the gang were worried about Spencer they hadn't seen her for over 2 months and every time they went over Spencer's father or Spencer would tell them that they were busy, every time they saw Spencer they would see a cut or something but sometimes Peter would tell her to put make up on to cover her face.

Toby really missed her he tried to ring her but she was never in, Toby went over to Spencer's house he knocked and Peter answered.

"Hey Mr Hastings is Spencer in?" Toby asked.

"Yeah she is, come in I will go and get her" Peter said.

He walked upstairs while Toby waited downstairs Peter went into Spencer's room, Spencer didn't look like Spencer anymore she had lots of cuts and bruises all over her face her arm was broken we can all guess who did that. Peter at least took her to the hospital to have a cast put on.

"Spencer you have a visitor, go and put n your make up" Peter said gently.

"Who is it?" Spencer asked quietly.

"Toby, I let him in so not to draw suspicion" Peter said.

Spencer got up and she put her make up on and she went down stairs.

"Hey Spencer" Toby said sounding very happy.

"Hi" Spencer said. Peter made her sound happy when they had visitors.

Toby hugged her and she hugged her back, he pulled away first.

"What happened to your arm?" Toby asked.

Spencer saw Peter in the background he gave her a look which told her "Don't say anything"

" I had a...............um.....................a jogging accident, yeah me and dad went for a jog and I ran into a car and I fell on my arm" Spencer said.

The truth was Peter hit her so much that one day her arm broke.

"Spencer do you want to come for a walk with me?" Toby asked.

"Um, I'm not sure, dad can I go?" Spencer asked.

"Yeah it will do you some good to get some fresh air but be back before 6:00" Peter said.

"Alright then come on Spencer" Toby said.

"Toby she will meet you outside I need to have a private talk with Spencer" Peter said, he put his hands on her shoulders which made her flinch.

"Alright, I will be outside then" Toby said.

Once Peter heard the door close he turned Spencer around to face him.

"Now listen you keep your mouth shut about anything that has happened this last 2 months or else and you will never get another visitor again" Peter said.

"I promise dad I won't say anything" Spencer said.

"Good, go and have a nice time" Peter said.

Spencer left and met Toby outside.

Toby grabbed Spencer's waist and kissed her on the lips.

"I have missed you so, so much" Spencer said.

"I have missed you to, what have you been doing this last 2 months nobody has seen you in ages?" Toby asked.

"Come on lets take a walk" Spencer said avoiding the question.

They were walking in the street.

"OK, me and my dad have had some hard times since mum left I haven't even got a card from her so we have been taking it hard" Spencer said.
