The sun was bright upon the green school fields.

The chirping of the birds, greeted everyone as they walk to their respective classrooms.

It's a normal school for normal people and yet....

"Hey, why is she here?"

"I know right! That freak..."

"She's so creepy..."

"I don't like her!"

"Maybe I should bring a cross next time"

"Also garlic, and wooden stake"

....Yet I'm not normal to them.

A gloomy girl with vacant eyes who likes a good shade and wears black. Who wouldn't think she's creepy, right?

In their eyes, is a world full of beauty with lollipops and dancing ballerinas with only I as an antagonist.

In my eyes, is a dark world filled with sin and selfishness.

I experienced a lot in this world that can make me wish I was never born, but I'm already pass that stage. Pass the stage of depression and suicidal thoughts.

I'm now.... nothing, but a broken doll in this porcelain world.

..... But who would want a broken doll? Right?

So, I won't tell you what happened.

I'll just keep my mouth shut, since I'm nothing.

Nothing but a distorted girl.

I sat down on the sofa, book in hand.

My friend, Paulina, shifted uncomfortably on the seat just beside the sofa.

"What's wrong?" I asked, flipping the pages to Chapter 10.

"It's just.... She just makes me so uncomfortable...."

"Who?"

I looked at Paulina, who pointed at a girl who sat on the floor while looking at a particular book with a vacant expression.

"Well, she's not bothering us... So why bother acknowledging her?"

"I think you're right..." Paulina sighed and blankly read the first chapter of her book.

I brushed the blonde hair away from my face, and looked at my reflection in the window.

Blonde hair, green eyes, pale skin, stunning, and quite tall. Yep, that's me.

Nathalia Carter

I'm in my 2nd Year of high school. I'm quite a bookworm and quite popular in this lovely, lovely school. My family's rich, thus the popularity.

Looking back at my book, I scanned through words and sentences to look for an answer, but today's no good either.

I can never find any answer to my problems through written words, I know. Yet, I trust books more than anything and anyone else in this world.

I sighed and reluctantly walked to return the book to the shelf, passing by the girl with vacant eyes.

I know she looked at me for a moment, but when I turned my head, she's engrossed again to that book.

I shrugged my shoulders and returned the book. The moment I did so, a cold breeze passed by, caressing my cheeks.

At first, it was comforting but when I remembered that the library's windows were closed, I panicked.

"Paulina?"

I called for her, yet no answer came.

I looked around to find that I was alone and the breeze kept on getting colder.

The weird girl, Paulina, they're gone!

I ran for the exit, but there was none.

I looked around again, and it was no longer a library.

It was pitch black and the only thing I see was the glowing book which the odd girl was looking at.

I quickly snatched it and opened the book, praying for answers.

Light emitted from the book, but so did a black hole grew.

I tried to let go of the book, but my body won't let me.

I was completely frightened to the point of unconciousness, but even my mind was not merciful enough to make me sleep.

"You wanted answers?" A figure formed by the black hole, asked.

My eyes widened with recognition.

"Then answers you shall have." Smiling, the figure pulled me along with her towards the black hole, and fell down head first.
