"I-"

"I just don't get it why are you such a bitch sometimes." Anger sweep over Aiden's voice and his eyes darken. He's scaring me.

"I admit this is my fault but don't just name me like this! I was just bored and I found a book lying in the floor so curiosity kills the cat, and this happened. I swear I read nothing." I half saying the truth and lie.

"So what did you see in there?" Aiden growled quietly.

"A picture of you and your mom."

Aiden laugh in a sarcastic manner, saying, "so tell me, how do you know thats my mom in the picture if you didn't read the caption?"

Caught. I take a deep breath and try to put this situation into equilibrium.

"Okay sorry. But I would like to know, why do you not trust me? Are you afraid of me sharing this secret of yours to the whole school? I don't get it."

"No. Okay, I apologise for my rudeness." Aiden seem to calm down and I smile, asking for him to continue. "I trust you, I wouldn't have tell you these if I don't. And I got frustrated because I'm still putting the whole lot of blame on myself. I was such a loser, I'm the blame. And I want to get this feeling over and just move on with life but you just don't want me to, by doing this kind of thing."

I nod my head slowly, trying to digest everything in my head. "Look, I'm sorry. But I want you to know that this is not your fault. Nobody want this to happen, am I right? Your mom obviously don't want to see you like that. Your sister and I will be here for you."

After a while of staring into his deep dark eyes, he hug me. I felt a switch of my breath and I hug him back. "Thanks." Aiden muffled under his breath at my shoulder.

"Funfact. You're my first friend for having me to console someone." I said, while his cologne filled my nostrils and the warmth of hug is killing me inside.

"Sleep here tonight, its getting late. We can study too." Aiden let go and suggest this.

"Sounds good. But where do I sleep?"

"In here. With me duh."

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah dream on. How about Sarah's?"

"Well, Sarah's bed is full of toys so I reckon you wouldn't want to smash the toys. Just sleep here, I'll sleep on the floor."

I hesitated. "I'll just go home."

"No, its late. Trust me, you don't want the creepers stalking you all the way home and to your room and to your bed and then-"

"OKAY! STOP." I yelled, removing the scenario out my head. Aiden just laugh as I smack his hand.

He smiled with a sweet grin that I felt like pinching his cheeks. But of course no, he would drive me away and I don't really want any creepers to be stalking me. I smiled back and this, my friend, have been the first time in forever to smile since long time. I like the feeling. Like the feeling of being naturally happy.

We didn't break off our eye contact. I don't feel any awkwardness, just a sweet comfortable feeling warming the atmosphere.

I felt like he's my soulmate, my best friend kind of soulmate. Even though we just met, I mean, more like we just started communicating, he seems like a nice guy after all. Um heck no, don't state it too early. He could be acting nice, what if we developed any kind of feelings and he just dump me? No this won't happen. STOP IT, ABI. No feelings, nope. I don't want to feel that, I heard that it hurts to be in a relationship with someone you love, it always hurts in the end and why not, just stay like this cool life and work my ass off to give myself a blissful life, like opening restaurants around the globe, cooking good dishes for the less fortunate, teaching morals for the less fortunate children.

"Aiden you might as well eat her eyeballs out." Sarah came to the bed edge and having a smirk on her face, she winked at me.

Like brother, like sister.

"Goodnight. Go to sleep." Aiden finally spoke in a while and turning to Sarah. She then waved at me, signalling a 'goodnight' too I guess. I waved back and smile and off she go to her room.

"You both do this every night?" I asked.

"Yeah. Every goodnight may be the last 'goodnight' we'd ever say."

"Oh." I nodded. I know what he's trying to say. My last 'goodnight' was said from my mom a few years back. How sweet.

"So, wanna study? Since its just 6pm." Aiden said, and looking at me with a pleading look.

"Wait what? I think I must get my ears checked for sure now. You,...study?" I hide a laugh.

"Hey. Even though I look like one that's lazy and shit, I can study too okay. Finals are coming, how can you not be any nervous?"

"Coming from the guy who decided to take part in a lame quiz and to win the attractive prizes." I snorted.

"Ugh." Aiden groaned, oh looks like he's so done with me. I like that.

"Okay seriously, I left most of my books in the locker..." I said.

"Just share this calculus book of mine, here. Let's do many questions and see who got it right!" Aiden said heartily.

"I assume that calculus is your favourite subject." I said.

"Indeed, they're fun! They always wants us to find their exes, it's so easy to track them and hunt them down to solve it with a touch of formula given." Aiden beam with his naked teeth showing.

"You're so lame."

"Let's go to the living room, so we have plenty of space to do." Aiden said.

I nodded and just followed him out the room, and that's when the most amazing thing happened to me since like forever.

I did not, keyword, DID NOT, see anything in front of me as I was walking. But suddenly I stepped on something solid and definitely it had wheels on it, I slipped and fall, resulting a loud boom.

My lovely butt, is currently smashed.

"What the fvck was that?!" I growled, my butt still stinging. And all I got was burst of laughter ringing my eardrums. I went to see the demon that made me fall, and it was a longboard. Such a lovely one.

"Asshole." I pouted as Aiden kept laughing at my ridiculousness.

I slowly got up, thank god with the help of the floor as I push myself up. Very much appreciated, Mr Aiden Smith.

And suddenly, oh god, you won't believe me.

I heard a tear.

Aiden stopped laughing and looking at me wide-eyed like what we were thinking the same exact thing. Oh god.
