Abigail's POV
Once Aiden went to sleep again, I let out a sigh. I should really get up and go home. I should tell mom about this. I thought again. Maybe not. She doesn't even care, so why should I?
I missed the old her, where she accompanied me and created laughters in my life for years, not until the start of my high school, or you can also say, not until dad got a mistres- bitch on his lap. Maybe I should be understanding of her situation. I reflected again and nodded to myself while reaching the bathroom, deciding that my mom's actually had a pretty wrecked life and maybe she's working for the survival of ours. I guess I'm pretty dumb to actually thought of this now.
After using the bathroom and doing my business, I was damn hungry. I decided to go home now and so, heading to his room and telling him. But instead, a voice called out my name from downstairs, which is also from the kitchen.
There he is. I headed down and when I want to start the conversation, he cut me off like the usual, and having a frown stuck on his lips while searching for something in his fridge.
"Abi, let's go grocery shopping." He state.
"Um actually I-"
"Shut up and let's go."
Ew. Did he not brush his teeth again?!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------We ended up in the nearest Walmart across the street and despite me telling him I should go, he kept cutting me off and mumble some nutrition facts about vegetables or so.
"This is how we choose these vegetables. Always take note of the crisp, and bright coloured ones tend to be more fresh." Aiden handling the brocolli tenderly.
I nod my head like a mad woman, knowing Aiden acting whole like my mother instead.
"What have I done in my previous life to meet this kind of people." I muttered, jokingly.
"What kind of people?" Aiden stopped and looking at me with his slightly furrowed eyebrows.
I can tell he was serious and pretty concerned about something. "Nothing." I grin.
He shrugged and just walk off to other section of vegetables. So greeny, too greeny.
"Aidennnnnn!" dragging the 'n', followed by a shrieking high pitched voice. "There you are!"
I turned around and spotted a golden blonde hair with high cheek bone came running to where we at. One look, I knew it's the oh-so-infamous Veronica Hills. She's wearing a black petite crop top with some denim high waist shorts. Looks cool to me. But huh? Just for grocery shopping?
"How coincidence." Aiden said, in monotone.
I just stood beside him watching the interesting scene.
"Yeah. Have you received my message?" Veronica said with a sad frown, wait, more like pretending-to-be-sad frown which makes an ugly ass duck face.
Judging real hard. Sorry not sorry!
"Uh. Something about your dog?" Aiden replied.
"Ugh Aiden! It's my fiancee. He broke up with me..."
"Do I look like I give a damn?" Aiden smirked. Nice one.
"Wait, are you still jealous? That is why you're pretty mad at me since we broke up?" Veronica asked.
Broke up?
"Can we not discuss this here?"
"Okay. Your house then. Let's go."
I kept standing there, with my eyebrows raised. So am I supposed to go....or what?
"Abi." Aiden turned to face me. "Come with me. I need to teach you how to cook, remember?"
I slightly gaped. When did this thing happened?
"Huh?"
Aiden blinked rapidly, like sending me some secret signals, maybe more like showing off his long eyelashes. Love his eyelashes, why do guys have eyelashes, why.
I almost laughed, looking at him like that. I just decided to help him and nodded. "Yeap. For our cooking quiz, right?"
"Oh. Cooking. L-O-L, so that you can cook for your own pathetic self? Well since you wear this kind of fabric............." Veronica added slyly.
"What fabric? This has a name. It's called clothes. And you're wearing this fabric too. Spell it with me. C..L..O..T..H..E..S.." I rolled my eyes.
Veronica ignored me and fishing her phone out, giving me the middle finger.
Can she be any bitch-er?
"Yeah, just call your fiancee. He probably forgot to put the leash around your neck." I said. I think I might have overreacted but oh wells.
Veronica glared at me like I'm crazy and continued surfing on her device.
"Good one." Aiden whispered to me.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
After we got our essentials, we walked back to Aiden's house. You can say Veronica is not walking, more like hanging onto Aiden's arm like a koala, but Aiden seemed frustrated and kept walking near me.
"So, who is this skinny bitch?" Veronica suddenly turned to me while walking.
"Excuse me?" I gaped.
"There's obviously something wrong with your ears." Veronica smirked.
"Well there's something wrong with your ugly brain, it is." I replied.
"Why are you always talking back?" She scorned.
"Why are you always being mean?" I answered.
Veronica just pursed her lips hence ignoring me, and continued with walking, I mean, hanging. Aiden beside me chuckled. Don't get too amused, yet.
Once we reached his house, I just help put the groceries in the fridge, and heading to the living room.
"Oh hey Sarah!" Finding her sitting on the same sofa, and some papers on the table in front of her, one glance I know she's completing some assignments. I decided to leave the couple alone and go to Sarah.
"Gosh, I'm glad you're here. I need some help for this, this and this." She hurriedly point to the questions she's unsure of, and then I sat down readily to think.
I tried several times thinking on how to solve the simple Math questions, but I felt uneasy for Aiden. Like what are they going to discuss about? Broke up? Hold up, why am I being such a busybody.
"Abi. I'll teach you cooking later on, so stay." Aiden beam while heading up to his room, with Veronica following him sloppily.
I nodded.
"Abigail." Sarah nudged me. "Do you hate that bitch?"
I was taken aback by the words she just said. Obviously I agree on allowing her to use it but not in this way...
"Um, Veronica?"
"Uh huh. She's the one who influenced my dear brother, resulting him in the worst kind of state you don't even want to know."
"Like what?" I felt even more curious.
"Don't tell my brother, promise?" Sarah hold up her pinkie-finger.
I hooked my pinkie-finger with hers, and made a pact. Here it is...
