Chapter 11- True Love

You quickly pushed away from Pearl and looked up at your precious lover as her face flushed angrily. Peridot stuttered quickly trying to make a sentence but ending up with tears all over her face and her heart feeling broken. You looked up at your beautiful Peridot who was now breaking down completely in front of you. She stood up quickly and ran back inside her screams drifting into the night. You looked at Pearl and she nodded allowing you to go comfort her.

"I'll talk to Garnet, we already made up so she should let us just abandon the scavenger hunt." She looked at you understandingly.

"B-but what if she doesn't?" You stuttered towards her. She let out a giggle and cleared her throat.

"Oh, I'll make her." She said biting her lip and her cheeks blushing slightly. You looked at her your eyes wide but you quickly shook it off and ran up to the house and flung open the door. You felt your tears uncontrollably falling down your face as you skidded against the hard wood floor quickly flinging your head around looking for your precious gem. Your vision blurred as you ran towards her room activating the door by quickly raising the bracelet up to it. You were quick to notice the foggy steam around the room failing your vision even more then it was already form the tears that have skidded across your face leaving red streaks. You inhaled the stream and coughed it out hastily causing your nostrils to burn. You lifted you head attempting to catch your breath from the steam but your lungs were quick to reflex causing you to result in a coughing fit. You fell to your knees quickly grabbing your  chest and attempting to catch a breath of air. As you felt your chest burn the steam was quick to fade away and replaced with its regular humid atmosphere. You shifted your body so that you were laying on the floor curling up into a ball so that you were clutching your body breathing deeply falling into hyperventilation. You squinted your eyes open slightly just to catch the shape of Peridot running over to you. You saw her fall down to you and take your hand tightly and squeeze it slightly. 

"(Y-Y/N).... I'm so sorry...." You felt her chest touch yours as she brought you into an embrace so that your faces were together. She sighed slightly as her face inched closer to yours before she halted. You smiled at her as your eyes closed and you brought her into a soft kiss. You forgot the pain in your lungs as you kissed her deeply and draped your arms around her neck and brought yourself into a better position to kiss her. Peridot smiled into the kiss before breaking the lip contact. 

"I-I'm really sorry Peridot... we were just hugging... I would never leave you.." You said looking down slightly unable to make eye contact with her. She let out a giggle before you felt her hand bringing your chin upwards towards her face.

"I know." She said blandly before bringing you into another deep kiss accept this time was not as long. You gazed at her as she slowly stood up and extended an arm out to help you up. You nodded slightly before grabbing her hand and pulling yourself up. You smiled at her noticing the blush on her face.  "(Y/N).... want to go grab some dinner... you know alone?" Peridot asked laughing nervously. You laughed back but at her awkwardness.

"Of course! I'm glad you forgive me."

"It was my fault..."

"Was not!"

"Was too!"  You play bickered at her but it ended as soon as Peridot shoved you onto the bed and jumped onto you. You laughed along with her as she dragged her fingers across your ribs causing your body to react in a ticklish manner. You giggled trying to push her off but she continued tickling you as she laughed along. You were quick to call time out by kicking her off of the bed resulting in an annoyed groan from Peridot. "Really? Oh you should get dressed for dinner." She said as she stood up and walked towards a stray door on the left side of the room. You were quick to gasp.

"Wait! I don't have any clothes!" You stumbled accidentally falling off of the bed. Peridot giggled before pointing to a door inline with hers on the right side of the room.

"Don't worry! There's a bathroom over there along with a closet of clothes." She said before finally shutting the door. You shrugged before opening the knob of the door and gasping at the sudden change of atmosphere. You looked around to see a shower in one corner of the room and in the other a toilet, both in very good quality. In an out-cove in the wall was a walk in closet that contained many beautiful clothes and accessories that Peridot must have phased in for you. You felt your eyes tera up in joy as you quickly unclothed to take a shower.

~After Bathing~

You quickly walked out of the room while attempting to tie your hair into a bun. You had choosen a tan blouse with a pearl necklace (Lets hope Pearl doesn't seem frightened at this) and a red skirt that was cut short near your knees along with some red heels. You gasped as you suddenly noticed Peridot sitting on the bed wearing a gorgeous red dress that was cut off at her knees companied with some black tights. You bite your lip at the sudden cuteness of her outfit but you were cut off by her clearing her throat indicating that you were caught. You looked up to see her blushing slightly at your eye contact but she flung it off by standing up and walking towards you smiling at you. You grabbed her hand and walked towards the door quickly awaiting your night with your lover.
