*Catherine's P.O.V*
"But mom why do we have to?" I asked. My mom has been off lately ever since dad died. She has been all over the place! "Because I got a promotion, and I'm your mother and that's final!" she exclaimed. I sighed in defeat, knowing she would get her way some how. "Now go get finished packing! We have an early flight tomorrow, and when you're finished packing go to bed, Love you sweetheart, Goodnight". She said in a breathe. I always wondered how she got everything out in a breathe, i try to do it, but then I suffocate and give up, but i replied to her quietly, "Yah, Yah whatever. Love you too, Goodnight". With that Catherine went up stairs to finish packing like her mother said and went into a dreamless sleep, not knowing what was in store for tomorrow.
When Catherine woke up the next morning, it was 6 a.m. and her mother was yelling at her to get up and get ready! Catherine groaned, but she still got out of bed and went to go take a shower. After she got out of the shower she put on the outfit she picked out the night before so she could eat breakfast in the morning. She looked in the mirror satisfied with her outfit which was her white skinny jeans, paired with a blue V-neck, and her shoes were white high-top converse. She started putting on her makeup, but just not as much. Some eyeliner, a little mascara, and just grabbed some chap-stick. When she was ready, she checked the time an it was now 7 a.m. and her flight was 8 a.m. Catherine grabbed her suitcases and took a last look at her room. The room that she grew up in and all the good and bad memories that were still there. She turned back around and shut the door and walked down stairs, to find her mom waiting on her. "Finally! I've been waiting for ages. I'm not getting any younger" her mom explained. Catherine slightly smirked and whispered "Got that right". As soon as she said that her mom turned and said "I heard that!" and laughed. Catherine said "Good! You were supposed to!" and they both laughed together, and walked out the door.
When we were walking out of the door, mom asked me the question yet again. "Are you sure you don't want to say goodbye to anyone?". Catherine sighed and said "No mom. Do you not remember? I lost all of them!" If you're confused I'll just feel you in. You see, I actually used to be popular. But one day at school, some asshole embarrassed me and started rumors about me and the whole school turned on her. To that day, I've never had a real friend. But back to what mom was about to say. I could see that my mom finally gave up hope and said "Fine, let's go". Catherine groaned and grabbed her bags and put them in the car and rode to the airport with her mother.
*45 Minutes Later*
Catherine and her mother finally arrived at the airport and grabbed their bags and headed into the airport. They went through security and finally grabbed their stuff and started walking to their flight which was boarding already. Once they got on the plane, they headed to their seats and Catherine put her headphones in and fell asleep. When she woke up she felt someone shaking her and she opened her eyes and saw her mother in her view and she pouted and started closing her eyes again and said " 5 more minutes!" her mother laugh and said "Well, were here so... oh yeah, get up!". Her mother grabbed a small pillow and threw it at her and Catherine slowly started sitting up and stretching and slightly smiled.
When they got off the plane, it was good they were wearing warm clothing because it was a little under 40 degrees and they weren't use to the weather, but they will eventually. Catherine shuttered and said "Holy Gosh! it's cold!" her mother laughed and said "You can say that again". Catherine grinned like a Cheshire cat and said again "Holy Gosh! It's cold!". Her mother looked at her weirdly and said "Why'd you say that again?" she asked confused. Catherine softly chuckled to herself and said "Because, you told me to say it again". Her mother thought for a moment and said "I was being sarcastic". I laughed and then said serious, with a dead look on my face "Sarcasm is serious, nothing to joke about!". I was holding all my laughter in, and I did it well. My mom looked shocked and said "When did you become so serious?" she slightly laughed as she asked. I started laughing hard. "Never!" i screamed. Mom started laughing with me and then I heard a faint voice interrupt out laughter. "Excuse me?" I turned around to see a man get his things. My mother moved and said sorry to the man and her just nodded his head at her and walked off. When he walked off I said" Strange. Usually people would just push us out of the way. I guess British people are a lot nicer than american's".
Catherine and her mother started walking just to be stopped by a sign that said 'BAKER' on a white piece of paper. I pointed to the man and my mother saw and smiled. He saw us come over and said "You must be the Baker family, I assume?". My mother said "Yes, I'm Mrs. Baker and this is my daughter Catherine". The man smiled and said "Well, right this way. i'm James, your driver". I slightly laughed and said "I'm just gonna call you J for short". He softly laughed and said "I'm cool with that!" trying to sound like a newyorker. I said "Yeah! It's cool dog!" in my best ghetto voice but failed miserably. At the end we all just laughed. "Well, let's get going then" J said. He walked us out to a short LIMO! I was shocked "Wow Mom! Awesome!". Mom saw my face a chuckled and said "Your welcome Cat!". I smiled at the nickname, because dad use to call me that before he died. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go!". We all walked out to the limo and J. said "Let me take your bags". Catherine and her mother handed J. their bags he put them in the trunk and opened the door for them and they both got into the limo. J. shut the door behind them and Catherine's mother told him the address and they were off to their new home, or that's what Catherine thought.
