Meeting People (Part 2) - Chapter 8

~Thursday Morning~

Last night, dad and I ended up playing COD: Ghost against each other until 11pm, then he made me go to bed. I think he just got tired of losing to me lol. Anyway, I got out of bed when my annoying af alarm clock (I stole from the orphanage) rang this morning and I went straight to the bathroom to take care of the mess that is my hair.

When I finished that along with brushing my teeth and other bathroom necessities, I got dressed wearing a BVB shirt with black ripped jeans and red Vans that I took from my dad's closet. I fit into all his clothes except for his pants, his legs are so much longer than mine. Anywho, when I finished getting myself ready for the day, I went downstairs to eat breakfast.

~Andy's POV~

I woke up to the sound of Izzy's alarm clock. It's so fucking annoying and I don't understand why her phone doesn't have a built in alarm clock. Note to self: get Izzy a new phone with an alarm.

After I threw on some clothes and made sure my hair looked good, I cleaned my teeth and headed downstairs to make breakfast. I looked at the time on my phone which read 6:10 am. I called up to Izzy letting her know that she has 20 minutes before we need to leave and continued making pancakes for breakfast.

5 minutes later, Iz came down wearing my BVB shirt and my red Vans. "Did you go into my closet this morning?" I asked, she gave me a look of innocence that clearly had guilt written all over it "Maybe" she pondered on the word. "I'm gonna have to take you clothes shopping aren't I." I said sarcastically. I knew I had to buy her clothes I just didn't expect her to wear my clothes.

"Actually I'm hanging out with Jade today after school, if that's okay with you. And maybe we can go to the mall." she answered. I gave her an okay along with some money "Do you guys need a ride there?" I asked she nodded then looked at the time. "An-dad, we need to go, I'm gonna be late for school and it's only my second day."

"Wow, looking back to yesterday, you didn't even want to go. Now you don't even want to be late." I teased her, "C'mon dad I don't have time for your teasing." I kept laughing at her frustration as I got into the car. "Okay, batgirl, have a great day." I said as I pulled into the school.

~time lapse to after school~

~Isabelle's POV~

Jade decided to come home with me since dad was gonna take us to the mall. When we got to the house, dad got all serious and gave me a stern look. "Okay Isabelle-" Oh? He used my actual name instead of Izzy or Batgirl, am I in trouble? I swear I didn't do anything.

"-that alarm clock you have is annoying as fuck, so I decided to do something about it." He pulled his hand from behind his back which had box in it. I stared at it, "Is that what I think it is?" I asked, "Open it and you'll find out."

He handed the box to me and I unwrapped it revealing a white box that said iPhone 6s on it. I stood there in awe looking at the amazingly beautiful piece of aluminum and glass that was contained in the box. I handed it to Jade for a moment so that I could give my dad a bone crushing hug. "Thank you so much daddy, you're the best." I said in his ear.

After the whole exciting I got a new phone event, we started to head out. "Oh and one more thing" he said before he opened the door. He pulled out a key that was black and had his band on it, "Since Jade's mom is going to drop you off, and I don't know if I'll be here when you come back, I figured I should give you your own copy of the house key."

A big smile was planted on my face and I hugged my dad for the thousandth time today. I put the key in my pocket and we headed to the car. "Off to the mall!" Jade yelled we all cracked up laughing.

~ time lapse~

We finally finished shopping and it was awesome, the mall was so huge it had a Hot Topic with two floors! Imagine my excitement! We went to other stores like American Eagle and Aeropostale and many more. "Bye Jade, bye Dollie!" I waved them good-bye and dug into my pocket for my key to the house.

When I opened the door I heard people talking, that's weird, dad didn't mention any visitors. He only mentioned that he had to do some recording for the next album (A/N: I don't know if they're coming out with another album but for this story, they are). I leave my stuff by the stairs and make my way to the living room where they are.

When I can finally see them, I see dad, and two older people. I have never seen these people before and I have no idea who they could be. "Um, Andy, I think you have a fan that broke into your house." the man said. I furrow my eyebrows. "Or maybe she's lost." the lady added.

"No, she's not a crazy fan and she's not lost either." dad says with a sigh "I can't believe I forgot to mention this" he muttered under his breathe "Mom, dad, this is my daughter, Isabelle." huh, I've always wondered who my grandparents were. I looked at my grandmother and she just sat in shock and my grandfather's expression was unreadable, "When did this happen?" he finally said after a solid minute.

Dad reminded them of my mom and when he mentioned that she died a few tears rolled down my cheek. That's when my grandmother hugged me and said "Oh sweetie I can only imagine the pain you're feeling right now." She looked at me straight in the eyes and continued "If you need anything just give your Grammy a call okay." I nodded and wiped the tears from my face and gave them a smile. That's my girl." dad said.

After all that mushy emotional stuff we stayed talking, ate dinner and got to know each other. Andy' s dad told me to call him Gramps and both Gramps and Grammy (she told me to call her that) gave me their phone number so I have them saved as Grammy and Gramps. Honestly, it's weird to say those names since I've only had a mom growing up. Mom's parents died when I was 2 so I never really knew them. Now I have my dad, and Grammy and Gramps :).

When they left I decided to go to bed. It's been a long but great day. Now I lay on my bed thinking of today's events. I saw Crista pants one of the Jerk Jocks as she calls them while I got it on video. I protected myself from a few bullies instead of taking a beating like I used to (I'm really gaining some confidence, I like it :D) I got an awesome new phone and the key to the house, I got to spend the afternoon with my new best friend Jade and met my grandparents who thought I was a crazy fan haha. Wow that's a lot in just one day, I definitely need some sleep.

Hey guys sorry it's been so long since I've updated, but I've got my new laptop and if you read my last post of my message board I wrote 3 chapters while I was saving up for the laptop. I'm starting to type the next chapter which is titled Sight Seeing so keep an eye out for that notification. I'm going to do my best to put up the next 2 chapters tonight just bare with me because I'm sorta slow at typing.
