Present day Storybrooke, Facilier arrives at Dorothy's apartment to bring Renee Gale on his quest to search for Thomas. Facilier reluctantly agrees to Renee's new demand that Grace accompany them. Edward asks Facilier to take care of Renee and Grace, and Facilier promises no harm will come to them. The three drive out of Storybrooke and Facilier retains his memories and identity as the Shadow Lord. Later, Zelena comes to the apartment to see her daughter and Zelena is aggravated to learn that Renee has taken Grace from Storybrooke. Meanwhile, there was a outsider riding on a motorcycle entering Storybrooke, Dorothy and Edward was standing on the sidewalk talking as
They are interrupted by the outsider on a motorcycle with a Pennsylvania license plate. He gives his name, Nathan, he asks them about finding a place to stay. After Dorothy referring Nathan to Roni's Bed & Breakfast, she reminds Edward that Grace told them that no one else ever comes to or leaves Storybrooke and Edward replies that they don't. Later, Zelena goes to visit the Snow Queen and decides to join her coven of the eight and to help get more members for the spell. The Snow Queen also has plans to find the Shadow Lord's machete to become the new Shadow Lord herself.
Outside of Storybrooke, At Boston's Logan International Airport, Facilier is required to place his scarf, the talisman that protects his memories, in a bin at the security checkpoint. He becomes weak and disoriented until Renee puts it back on him after they are screened. Later, Facilier angrily hits a trashcan and bloodies his knuckles, then finds that he is unable to magically heal the injury. Facilier, Renee, and Grace board the plane and its destination is announced: Manhattan New York.
