In Storybrooke, A noise in the woods that leads Dorothy to overhear a conversation between Zelena and the Snow Queen, revealing that they are working together to find the Shadow Lord's machete. Meanwhile, Dorothy finds Edward at the police station, informing him of Zelena's duplicity. They resolve to find the machete first, and Dorothy decides to try to drive a wedge between Zelena and the Snow Queen. She meets with Zelena and reveals what she knows, warning her that the Snow Queen doesn't care about Zelena or Grace but Zelena dismisses her. Dorothy and Edward ask the Light One for help finding the machete, but a protection spell over Facilier's shop prevents him from learning anything. Edward then receives a call from Renee that Facilier has agreed to put his trust in them, and reveals that the machete is hidden in the clock tower. Just after they retrieve it, Zelena appear. She summon a loyal munchkin and Zelena rips his heart out and demands the machete. Despite the munchkin's protests, Dorothy gives up the machete. Zelena then restores the munchkin's heart. Than puffs away in a cloud of green smoke.
Meanwhile, Edward reassures Dorothy that they will get the machete back before Facilier returns to Storybrooke. Dorothy questions her "good" choices that have caused death and suffering over the years. That night, at the mayor's house, Zelena sets the machete on the table and she looks down at it.
In New York, Liam and Grace spend time together while Renee and Facilier commiserate over the trouble they are having with their respective children. Facilier asks Renee to convince Liam to come with them to Storybrooke, suggesting that Grace would otherwise run away to be with Liam as she once did with Renee, and that Renee wants a second chance with Liam. Renee broaches the topic, but before they can talk further, Liam and Grace comes with pizza and than Facilier felt weak and knew that someone found his machete. Liam reveals he is capable of driving the car, back to Storybrooke where magic can be used to save Facilier. despite their troubles, he does not want his father to die. Renee receives Dorothy and Edward's message about the machete, and Renee urges Facilier to learn to trust someone like his own family before he dies. He agrees and tells Dorothy and Edward where his machete is hidden. Liam and Renee go to pick up a car. Liam reveals that the car belongs to Sharon his fiancee.
