Stepping out of the shower wrapped in your favorite plushie towel, you put your underwear on, and threw on a semi-clean outfit. You ran down the stairs, stole two pieces of bacon off of your younger brother's plate, and sprinted out of the house. Running next door, you only stopped when you tripped over a fairly scruffy green pooch, shaking it off, you unlocked the door to your distant cousin's house and shuffled inside. Making your way to Keef's bedroom, you knocked on the door and yelled for him to get up. After you had made sure he was up and moving, you went to check on Keef's mother.

"Hey (Y/N), nice to see you sweetie." Keef's mother rasped between coughs.

"Nice to see you too, I'll be over after skool to check on you. I want to make sure you make the best recovery you can." You said, earning a small smile from the bed ridden woman.

"Thank you (Y/N), you're such a sweet child. Has Keef been woken up yet? I don't want him to be late for the first day of skool."

"Yup, he should be in the kitchen by now. I've got to go, but mom should be over at noon to make sure you're okay and I'll swing by after skool." You replied as she distantly stared at the top left corner of the room.

Sprinting back down the stairs, you found keef eating a big bowl of 'Breakfast Chunks'.

"Are you ready for the first day of High Skool?"

He perked up instantly and started chattering about how well the day was going to go and how excited he was to be able to see this kid named "Zim" again. Nodding to show you were listening every once and awhile, you lost track of the time. When you had finally glanced at the clock again it donned on you that if you were any later you would miss the bus all together.

"Come on Keef!" You yelled, trying to snap him out of his chattering trance. "The faster we get to school, the faster you can see Zim."

He instantly came to his senses, grabbed his back pack with one hand and yours with the other, and flew out of the house.

"We're off to see the Zimmy! The wonderful Zim, my best friend." Your relative sang in the style of 'The Wizard of Oz', as you both arrived at the bus stop.

"Wow, this Zim guy must be really important to you." You stated in awe.

"Yup!" He exclamed, bobbing his head. "He's one of the best."

"Alright then," you stated, placing a foot inside of the door to the bus that had just pulled up. "Let's go meet this 'Zim' guy."
