I haven't exactly come back to the guild yet. I've made camp at the forest just outside of Magnolia. I was starting to smell again. I needed new clothes and a shower pronto. I stared at the sunset over the city. It'd been three days since I got here.

"Nashi, tell me what's up."

I knew exactly who it was.

"Loke, I'm really confused," I confided in him. "My mom...I don't think she was a wizard, but how did she have these keys? Am I wizard, if I can use them? Where did my mom go? Why do I need to protect these keys? Who's my father? What should I do?"

Loke sat down beside me.

"Maybe I can help you. Your mom is a wizard, you have magic, but you aren't technically a wizard. Your mom was kidnapped. Her keys must have something to do with it. You should really put in a request to Fairy Tail, and..." Loke trailed off. I laughed bitterly.

"No need to answer that other one. No way you know who my dad is," Nashi said sadly, then caught herself. "N-Not like I wanna know! He's just a lowlife with pink hair and motion sickness!"

Loke looked up at me quickly.

"Pink hair and motion sickness?" he asked. I nodded. "It all makes sense now...I should've known just by looking at you."

"Ri~ght. So, my mom said that my dad had really bad motion sickness. He was also apparently really friendly and stupid and reckless and violent, etc. etc." I explained tiredly.

"Nashi, I think I know who your dad is," Loke said. I darted my eyes at him.

"Really? Who?"

"Maybe I should explain further. What's your mom's name?" Loke asked.

"Lucy Downheart," I said automatically.

"Lucy Heartfilia," Loke corrected. I stiffened.

"The wizard who disappeared from her guild thirteen years ago? That's not possible," I said.

"She has Celestial Spirit keys. And I would know, seeing as I know her. I've known her for...a while. Ever since she joined Fairy Tail," Loke said. I laughed.

"She didn't join Fairy Tail," I denied.

"Nashi, open your damn eyes for just one minute!" Loke yelled. I grimaced. "Your mother is Lucy Heartfilia. She was on a team with Natsu Dragneel, Erza Scarlet, Happy, Wendy Marvell, Carla, and Gray Fullbuster in Fairy Tail. She came from a rich family, and inherited three of her keys from her mother. After destroying Tartaros, Fairy Tail had a party, resulting in your mother and father becoming very drunk. Your mother realizes she's pregnant and runs away, with my help, although I had no true knowledge of the circumstances until now."

I didn't say anything. It made sense, in its own way. I still didn't trust Fairy Tail to look for my mom. Besides, I couldn't have too many people looking into this, when I know my mom didn't want anyone looking into it, period.

"I...I wanna look for my mom on my own. I just don't know how," I admitted.

"Here's an idea: if you don't trust anyone, just join a guild and acquire the things you need to look for her yourself," said Loke in exasperation.

"Would I have to tell them who my mom is?" I asked, starting to believe what he was saying without knowing it.

"I think you should," Loke said. I shook my head firmly.

"It's not my right. I can't tell them who I am, or my father...who is my dad anyway?" I asked. Loke sighed.

"Natsu Dragneel. Lucy's best friend," he answered. I nodded. Natsu Dragneel. I believed Molly had talked about him a lot. He was Salamander. I never liked him.
