Dear Society,

I'm not perfect. I am not stick thin. I do not have perfect skin. I don't have pin straight hair. I don't have a gap between my thighs. But baby, I am me. I have curves. I have a few blemishes here and there. I have beautiful curls. I have strong, muscular thighs. And I am trying to appreciate that. So should you. Yes, girls with flawless skin, thinness, a thigh gap and straight hair are pretty. But, I bet, they see themselves as ugly. Because dear, you put them down. Whether you know it or not, the world has gone mad trying to fit your definition of 'perfect'. Society, answer me this, does perfect exist? Is there such thing as something not having anything wrong with it? Or do you just enjoy sitting back and watching us all fight to be your definition of perfect? I will not stand down to you Society. I will fight until I feel perfect, whether or no it is your definition. It will be mine and that's all that matters.

Sincerely,

The boys and girls struggling to fit your definition of 'perfect'.
