Honeymoon Avenue

"Oof" my voice was muffled by a pillow whacking me in the face. I heard a chuckle then the door shut and fast footsteps down the stairs.

"Great way to wake me up Cameron." I muttered and threw the pillow.

I sat up and and felt a piece of paper under my hand.

"Haha I'm sorry babe get dressed and come down stairs please. :) love u boo"

I smiled at the note and got up with a groan.

After doing my morning routine and getting dressed I managed to tame my wild mane. Once I left the bathroom I noticed there were bright red roses on the ground leading out the door.

Also another note on the floor that read "pick us up!"

Curiously, I followed the trail out the door and down the stairs ending up with a dozen of roses in my hands leading to the dining room. I picked up the last rose and looked up to see his adorable boyfriend with a large rose in his mouth.

I took the rose from Cam's lips and pressed an eager kiss to my valentine's plump lips.

"Happy Valentine's day baby." Cameron whispered against my lips and pecked my lips once more.

"Same to you babe."

We kissed for a few minutes then pulled away breathless.

"Are cooking something?" I sniffed the air and smelled a burning smell.

"Fuck!" Cam cursed and ran to the kitchen.

I heard a string of loud curse words and the loud screech of the smoke detector.

I placed my roses in the vase on the counter and walked into the kitchen.

I found Cam frantically fanning at the smoke detector until it stopped beeping.

"Damn it." Cam sighed and scraped the burnt food into the drain. He threw the pots in the sink and sighed once again.

"Babe it's fi-" I started.

"No it's not Nash! I was so excited to do this for you and in 5 minutes everything got ruined." Cameron rubbed his face and growled.

"Cam! It's honestly fine. I'm sure this is not the only thing you had planned for today right?" Nash assured his boyfriend.

The disappointed boy shook is head and smiled at Nash.

"Yeah I guess. I'm sorry about that though. Cereal?"

Cam sheepishly smiled.

"Cereal." I nodded.

We pulled into the parking lot of the annual fair that came around a few times a year. I smiled excitedly and jumped out of the car when Cam came around to open the door.

"Is this our-" I started.

"Yup! This is where we had our first date." Cameron grinned and took my hand in his.
