Falling through the dark tunnel, bright lights of memory faded. Tears faded. Everything faded.
Except for the red kyber crystal, which I no longer memorized, yet mesmerized.
The dark cannot defeat me.
The red crystal was soon accompanied by a blue crystal.
Meet, evil and good do. Two paths, walk, which one shall you?
"I walk my own path."
In war, a side to choose, you must.
The crystals light disappeared.
Exist, you do not. Help, you shall. Sorry, I am.
"I forgive you. Though, I'm not clear of what you're trying to say..."
You will, soon.
I fluttered my eyes open, my body sore. Eyes crusted, I just wanted to sleep again. Suddenly, I re-awoke to monsters, steadily breathing in my face.
"Holy mother of...!" I screamed. The monsters leaped back, as I jerked up into sitting position.
They looked at me, curious. Their heads tilted to the side, like huge cats. Suddenly, a name popped into my head.
"Fyrnocks." I said, looking at the large creatures. I patted one on the head lightly.
Destroyed spaceships and technical parts stacked everywhere the eye can see, not a glint of light in sight.
"Uh, do you know where this is?" I asked a fyrnock.
He just looked at me.
Why did I think he could understand? Geez.
I stood up, dusted myself off, rubbing my crusty eyes. I looked everywhere for an exit, or at the very least, light. Kicking things around, trampling over things, I decided to just climb on the mountains of useless items.
I was panting by the time I got to the top. I looked around helplessly, looking for light. Suddenly, I saw a thin line of faint light.
Quickly, I slid down the pile, sharp points of rubble hitting my calves. I stumbled to the faint light, following it out.
My eyes burned for a bit. I quickly inspected the area. Not a living thing in sight.
I looked back.
Not even the fyrnocks came out.
I sat, buried my hands in my head hopelessly.
For about a minute, I stayed this way. When I finally looked up, I saw the a circular-pod ship, smoke rising from it.
That crash must be recent.
I got up, running to the scene. A man, somewhere mid-twenties, sat in the middle... dead? I coughed waving the smoke around. I grabbed the man by the hair (I know, violent, right?) and dragged him out. Slowly, I dragged him back to the fyrnocks, and the dark.

"Ugh..." The man grunted, eyes flickering open. I grinned. Someone who can speak!
I backed off a bit, because really, I was invading his personal space. I watched excitedly. A new friend!
"Where am I?" he asked.
"I'm not so sure either!" I exclaimed.
"Agh!" he screamed, flailing back a bit. I stood up and smiled.
"How're you doing?" I asked. "I'm sorry I can't provide you with food or anything, but, err... seemed like you were dying in that capsule. Unless that was your home. If it was..." I said, flinching "Sorry for interrupting your rest time."
"No, but thank you. Smoke inhalation isn't good." he replied.
"So do you know this place? I mean like, you must. Then you wouldn't have been here." I hopped in front of him. "What's your name? I don't recall mine, sorry, I forgot it."
"Caleb."
"So, Caleb, what're you doing here, on this as-tur-oyd...? Yes, if that's the right pronunciation. Asteroid!" I smiled at my intelligence.
"I crashed. Hey, have you seen my com anywhere?" He asked, looking around.
"Com? Maybe it dropped when you crashed." I pointed to his old shuttle "Over in that thing."
I got up and skipped outside and to the shuttle, keeping a steady pace with his.
"When you crashed, oh boy, there was a LOT of smoke! It was everywhere. Now it's just as clear as..." I thought for a moment. How can I describe it? "Clear as light!"
We finally got to the shuttle and he climbed in.
"Hey, do you have a family?" Caleb asked.
"The fyrnocks?" I replied, unsure of what a family was. "What is a family?"
He looked at me.
"A family is a group of people who love you unconditionally, and take care of you." He picked up a scrap of metal and spoke into it.
"This is Specter 1, I crashed onto Fort Anaxes, Specter 2, give me a lift. I also found this little girl and-"
"What's love?"
He looked at me, eyes wide open, pity riddled on his face. Weird, I know what pity is, but I don't know what love is.
"...she's alone." he finished.
"Specter 2 to Specter 1, I am on my way."
Love... Love must be how that fyrnock tilted his head! I should go get him to show what love is to Caleb!
"Wait here!" I exclaimed, running off to the fyrnocks.
"Kid, no! Come back here!" Caleb yelled after me.
Now he won't flash looks of pity at me!
Caleb chased me while I led him to the fyrnocks. Suddenly, a loud sound erupted behind me.
A bunch of shuttles that Caleb used to be in appeared. Men in suits of armor appeared, looking around. Caleb grabbed me and pulled me behind the spare junk parts.
"What ar-"
"Shh!" He hissed, covering my mouth.
The men marched around, looking everywhere for something.
Suddenly, a larger ship appeared above, shooting all the smaller shuttles. The men turned around, shooting laser beams at the ship, although it would not work.
"Let's go!" Caleb grabbed me and pulled me by my wrist.
"Where?!" I asked.
"To-- Somewhere, alright!"
He ran to the large ship, shooting down men. Suddenly, even more small shuttles appeared. They began to shoot the larger ship, and it looked like it did more damage.
Some shuttles flew down, the same men running out. Then, one man, clearly different from the others, walked to us. He was pale white, red marks scarring his face.
"I've found the force-sensitive child." he said, looking at me. He turned his head to Caleb. "And an extra, a Jedi."
Caleb just ran to the ship. Suddenly, with a flick of a hand, the man made me fly away, into one of the same-dressed men's arms.
"Kid!" Caleb shouted.
He shot other men, trying to knock off the reinforcements.
"I'm sorry." he said, backing into the ship, as it closed and fled away.
I bit my lower lip in anger.
I thought we were friends!
