**10 YEARS LATER**
**HOPE'S POV**

"Happy birthday dork" I said to my twin brother. He playfully pushed me as we walked to school. Today was our birthday and we both would be turning 17.

"Happy birthday big head" he teased back. I rolled my eyes and kept walking. "I wish mom was here" I heard Alex whisper. I stopped walking and looked at him knowing he misses mom so much.

"Yeah me too" I ran a hand through my long brown hair with red highlights. Alex had brown hair but blonde highlights. He wanted blonde and I got red.

"Come on. Were gonna be late"

As we walked up to the school me and Alex went our separate ways to our first class.

My first class was history. Not my best subject and not my favorite teacher either. I'm pretty sure he hates my guts.

As I walked in the late bell rang. The teacher looked at me with evil eyes. I rolled my eyes and headed to my seat near the back.

"Happy birthday Hope" my friend Erica said to me. I thanked her and waited for the teacher to start teaching but he just stared at me.

"Mrs.Smith come here please" he said.

"It's Grier. Smith is my moms last name" I said to him. After mom passed dad decided to change our last name to his last name. We were up for it because we always wanted dads last name, plus we were little kids and thought changing your name was gonna make us secret spies or something.

"Ok. Ms.Grier. Can you come here please?" Mr.Luck asked again. I shook my head and crossed my arms.

"Why?" I asked. He gave me a confused look as to why I questioned him.

"Because I asked you to. Now come here" he demanded. I groaned and got up from my seat and headed to the front of the room. As I stood in front of him he looked at me then over to the door. I looked over and saw a guy standing there. The guy then walked inside the class.

"Hope Grier?" He asked. I nodded slowly and he handed me a piece of paper.

"Grab your things. This is your new schedule."

"A new schedule?" Erica asked. I nodded as we grabbed out food and headed to our table.

"Why? Your fine in the classes you are now" she said as we sat in our seats. I nodded in agreeing with her.

"I start after my free period." I groaned knowing next is free period. She looked up above me and a small smile spread on her face. I turned and saw Alex and Cole heading toward our table. Erica had the biggest crush on my brother ever since middle school.

"Hey hope. Hey Erica" Cole greeted me and Erica. We said hi back then said hello to Alex.

"So I hear you got your schedule changed?" Alex asked taking a French fry off my plate and eating it. I shot him a glare and he smiled.

"Yeah. I'm not sure why they changed my schedule." I said to Alex. He looked at Erica then back to me.

"You wanted to change it?" Alex asked me. I shook my head at him. He gave Cole a confused look which Cole gave him the same look.

"They said you wanted it changed." Cole said. I shook my head. We all had a confused look.

"Well are you gonna eat that?" Alex asked pointing to my food. I pushed the tray over to him and his face lit up. "Your greedy"

"I wonder where I get that from" he laughed.

"Not mom" I whispered. The table got quite. "Sorry." I whispered, tears filled my eyes as I thought of mom. Alex walked over to my side of the table and sat in the chair on my right while Cole was on the left. Alex brassed me in a hug and started to run my back.

"I miss her too hope but we gotta stay strong. We know that's what she would've wanted." He said into my ear so only I could hear. I nodded but I was still upset. We were only 5/6 when she passed, from what I remember of her is that she would do anything to keep us safe. Me and Alex have all the movies she directed and I actually remember being on set with her and Taylor.

"She would've wanted dad to be here with us" I looked up at Alex who nodded in agreement. Dad couldn't take the stress and stuff so he went to the military and now we live with Nash and Paris. Paris always tells me and Alex stupid stories of her and mom when they were little.

"Dad will be back soon. Until then we have to keep strong ok?" He stopped running my back and held my chin up so I was looking in his eyes.

I slowly nodded but laid my head back on him and stayed there till lunch was over.

"Let's ditch the rest of the day" Erica suggested. Alex, Cole and I looked at each other and agreed. We usually have a secrete way of leaving but we decided to just go for it.

We ran out the school into the parking lot where Cole's car was. We hopped inside, Alex and Erica in the back while I took the front seat.

"Where?" Cole asked as we drive out the school parking lot.

"Yeah where wonder twins?" Erica asked. Me and Alex looked at each other and smiled.

Wonder twins? I think Alex and I will fit that name just fine.
