Luke's point of view
"Honey, it's time to go to school." My mum's voice rang out and I groaned quietly. "Please Luke, I know you don't want to but you have to. It's mandatory."
"I know." I sighed as I turned around. I pried my eyes open and my mum smiled at me sadly, knowing why I hated school so much. "I'll be down in ten, okay mum?"
"Of course darling. Do you need me to cook your breakfast?" She asked and then left my room after I shook my head. I threw my blanket off my body, shivering slighy because my room was freezing.
This is what I get for sleeping in my boxers and keeping the ceiling fan on all night.
I turned the fan off and then made my way to my closet to grab an outfit. I grabbed a black tank-top with the Nirvana symbol on it and then slipped it on. I yanked a pair of black skinny jeans up my legs and then I sat on my bed as I put some socks on.
I quickly laced my vans on and then went into the hallway since I didn't have my own bathroom. This one was practically mine though, since my mum had her own attached to her bedroom.
I closed the door behind me and then turned the faucet on. I quickly washed my face and then looked into the mirror, taking a deep breath. For some reason, my eyes looked bluer than normal and it bothered me, but not enough to actually stop and question it much.
I quickly brushed my teeth and then I began to fix my hair, running my have through my hair. After I fixed it like I normally do, I put in my lip ring and then dried my hands and face with a towel.
I unlocked the bathroom door and then went back into my room. I grabbed my backpack off of the floor and then threw it over my shoulder. I sighed quietly and then quickly fixed my bed so my mum didn't feel the need to do it while I was at school.
I left the room after I put my phone in my back pocket and then I went to the front door. "Bye mum, I'll see you later." I called out and then closed the door after she answered me.
"Bye baby, have a good day!"
I took a deep breath as the cold air hit me and I grimaced a bit. I hated this kind of weather. It was always nice and cool in the morning, and then once it hits noon you're about to have a heatstroke inside of an air conditioned room.
Fuck the weather.
I made my way to school, taking my precious time because I always left the house early, approximately twenty minutes early. I like the peacefulness of being alone, and being able to take in the way the sun would rise out from behind lamp posts, houses, and other buildings out in the distance.
The sky was beautiful, a mix of blues and oranges with puffs of white. The moon was still slight visible, but it'd be gong away in no time.
I hummed to myself, the tune of an old rock n' roll song filling the silence. In my head, I could hear the music and the lyrics, but in reality, it was just the beat of it.
By the time I finished humming the entire song, I could see the school building. It was old and run down slightly, chipping paint and splintering wood. The grass was slightly over grown, and the surrounding plants deaf or dying.
I could see the people standing by the front doors for their friends aswell and I can see the people who are walking just like myself. It felt relieving to not be the only one without a car, or even a ride.
I kept my head down as I walked up to the school, feeling a bit awkward as a few watched me. I wasn't very popular, the polar opposite applied for me actually.
