We were just hanging out with the whole group and it happened. A sudden flash of emergency once we heard a thump. Let's start from the beginning. After art class Mari and I were talking about things in our life since it had just been Spring Break and Matt came up to us and started talking about the hangout tonight. I just nodded and laughed at his corny jokes, I think he's been hanging out with Josh too much. I looked at Mari and she had a strange look on her face and just looked and kissed me and said "Gotta go, see you later" I hugged her goodbye. Matt watched her walk to her dorm getting the door open no problem. He asked me if I knew why she was acting strange because she's been this way since Spring Break. I shrugged not really noticing anything bad until now. I went to the dorm with Matt and did my homework and we walked to Ian and Anthony's dorm seeing Melanie was there. "Where's Mari and Kalel?" Anthony shrugged looking up sadly at us. "What's wrong?" Anthony stood up and said "Everyone has been acting differently ever since we came back from Spring Break and it's getting me down." I understood what he was getting at. Mari and Kalel walk in quietly and quickly after knocking at the door. I mean nothing's wrong with knocking but it's strange because we're all family here. Mari and I sat down on the floor. Matt and I left to get soda and water because everyone was trying to stop drinking. As we were heading back before we opened the door there was a thump and everyone yelled "MARI!!!" I ran in looking at the ground where Mari laid with her head in Kalel's lap. I kneelt down next to her while Ian and Josh were calling people for help. Matt checked her pulse, he looked at me with a look of fright in his eyes "Someone needs to get here quick or we'll lose her," I looked at the most beautiful person, funniest person, the person who meant the most to me, and my best friend. Tears came to my eyes thinking of a world without her.
