Chapter 7: Hospital room

-Davids POV-
The ambulance and police got there and rushed Mari to the hospital only letting one of us in the ambulance. The guys decided to let me go but I knew I wouldn't be able to especially if we lost her before that. "How about Kalel?,I mean you guys have been so close lately". I offered and Kalel agreed and went in the ambulance. I hoped in the car with Ian Anthony and Melanie and I looked out the window trying to avoid the world. When we got to the hospital she was already in the ER and Kalel was in the waiting room crying. "She flatlined for a minute and then went back to really low" Kalel said trying to hold back her tears. Anthony walked over and hugged her whispering something to her. "How could this have happened?" asked Matt which is what was on everyone's mind. Then all of a sudden Karma ran in and I was actually surprised to see her. "Karma, what are you doing here?" Kalel asked her wiping tears off her face. "I went to go see you and Mari to work on our cheerleading team and then I saw the note that Matt left and I got here as soon as possible; Do you guys know how she's doing or how this happened?" We all shook our heads no. After an hour of waiting a doctor came out and said "Who's here for Mariko Takahashi?" We all stood up and I said "We are. Her parents aren't here yet because they live so far away." He nodded and said "Do any of you mind me asking some questions?" We all shook our heads no or shrugged. "Who was she last seen with before you all were together?" Kalel stood up and said "She was with me in our dorm and then we walked over to their dorms" The doctor nodded and shook his head. "Was she saying she was tired or her head hurt at all?" Kalel shook her head no and added "She doesn't take any medicine either if that was another question." He looked up and nodded. "What are all of your named? FULL names" Kalel said "Ian Hecox, Anthony Padilla, Matthew Sohinki, Joshua Ovenshire, David Moss, Melanie Moat, and I'm Kalel Cullen." As she pointed to everyone. The doctor nodded and said "Kalel you come with me and I'll tell you my hypothesis of what's wrong". She nodded and followed him. "Well I believe that Mariko may have a mental disease called syncope which makes someone black out and that is what happened isn't it?"  Kalel nodded her head yes and asked "Is that what you really think happened". He shook his head no and then said "This stumps me to be frank I have almost no clue but her pulse is low and shallow she is taking small breaths and seems to have passed out. I have no clue what I could take from that. This may take me a while and I don't want everyone to be waiting out there. I want you to stay here by her side because you two seem to have been close and you don't seem to be the sensitive if we do lose her." Kalel nodded and teared up by how the doctor said that he had a thought that Mari could die. "Her name might be Mariko but to me it's Mari because she is my best friend and I can't lose her now". The doctor looked at her and nodded as she head for the hospital room.
