Annabeth knocked lightly on Sally Jackson's apartment door, excited to see her boyfriend in a long time. Actually, it was only a week, but to Annabeth it felt like a year.

Mrs. Jackson opened the door, an apron around her waist. She had been working at a small diner recently, a bit after Percy's disappearance. She had her brown hair tied in a bun, and her blue eyes sparkled with joy. Mrs. Jackson had been proposed to a month ago by Paul Blowfis. She was engaged, and she had her son back. She was happy.

"Annabeth!" She exclaimed. She opened her arms and Annabeth gladly let Sally's arms engulf her into a hug. "Hi, Mrs. Jackson." Said Annabeth.

"Come in, come in! The boys are in the living room." Annabeth let go of her and walked into the cozy apartment. It was a very nice apartment, on the third floor of a building not too far from camp. They had moved here after the Giant war, to be closer to camp, and to Percy.

"Annabeth?" Said a confused Percy. He had not been expecting her to arrive so early. She was supposed to come here on Friday. It was Saturday at the moment. "Hi." Annabeth replied awkwardly. She had come over because of the invitation of his mother. She had accepted, excited to see her boyfriend.

Percy got up and ran over to Annabeth. He picked her up and kissed her, a sweet, tender kiss. Annabeth wrapped her arms around his neck. Percy let her down to the ground, his arms moving to her waist, still kissing her. Annabeth smelled the ocean, tasted the ocean. It lasted a second, but also an eternity. He pulled away, suddenly, remembering that his mother and soon to-be stepfather were currently in the room.

"You two can go do something. I'll call you when dinner is ready." Said Sally. Paul got up from the sofa and rested his arm on Sally's waist. "And don't go into any trouble." He warned.

"Well, that's no fun." Said Percy, jokingly. Everyone laughed, the room filling with joy.

Annabeth and Percy arrived to a very crowded and loud building. The sign on top was faded. It read "Chuck E. Cheese's".

"Oh, no Percy. I am not going in a children's arcade." Annabeth complained.

"Come on! It won't be that bad. I promise," said Percy, holding up his pinky to her.

Annabeth huffed. She was not going into an arcade for children. However, Percy was here, so it wouldn't be that bad.

Annabeth turned to Percy.

"Fine. But only for a little while." She sighed.

As soon as they walked in, Annabeth regretted it. There were all kinds of noises coming from all over, the place smelled of month-old pizza, and worst of all, kids were everywhere. She gulped. This was NOT where she wanted to go for as a date.

"Percy, what if we just leave. . ." Suggested Annabeth.

"Annabeth!" Exclaimed Percy, "You promised!"

She rolled her eyes and walked up to one of the booths nearby. Percy went to go order a pizza.

She looked around. Messes were everywhere, trash and tickets littering the floor. Kids were crying and throwing temper tantrums. Adults were seated and talked about politics and the weather, while keeping an eye on their kids.

Annabeth eyed a machine that looked like an ATM. That was the machine that have you tokens so you could play.

She slowly got up and put money in the machine. Out came a handful of tokens, making a loud and repetitive noise.

Percy walked up to her.

"You want to have fun while we wait?" He asked, a mischievous grin on his face.

"I thought you'd never ask."
