"You're such an idiot, Seaweed Brain," laughed Annabeth, as she talked to her boyfriend on the phone.
Percy was updating her on the news at camp. He was talking to her about the quest he had to do to find Aphrodite's hairbrush. Percy chuckled. "I know."
"That's why I love you," added Annabeth.
Percy closed his eyes. "I wish you were here."
"I know," she sighed. "But you know I want to--"
"Yeah, yeah," Interrupted Percy. "You want to be there for the architecture, yada, yada, yada." He said as if he had recited it a million times.
She smiled sadly, realizing he couldn't see it. "I really miss you. I wish I could go there sooner. You know, with Thanksgiving and all..."
"You'll be here after Thanksgiving, I know Annabeth."
"I wish New Rome was closer."
"Me too."
Annabeth suddenly heard a noise on the other line.
"Percy?..." She asked.
"Hold on for a second." He stated. She heard him cover the microphone with his hand. Annabeth heard muffled noises coming from him and... Piper? They sounded like they were arguing.
What was she doing there? Could they be?... No. She shook that thought out of her head. Percy was too loyal for that.
The quarrel continued for a few more minutes until she heard Piper leave.
"Sorry, Pipes just wanted to know something." He said. Annabeth new for a fact that was a lie. They've known each other for years.
"Oh? What thing?" Said Annabeth, attempting to sound casual.
"Just a thing for capture the flag. Um, just the positions... She gets so stressed about it." Percy said.
"Oh yeah, I haven't told you about this game--"
"Annabeth? Piper just reminded me I have to do this thing..." Interrupted Percy.
"Oh, okay it's fine." Annabeth replied.
"Night." He replied plainly.
"Night."
Then, he hung up.
~~~
Percy hadn't answered any of her calls, texts or Iris messages for the past two days.
She was starting to get really worried. Hazel, Frank, and Jason knew nothing of his whereabouts either.
Was he on another quest?
No. Quests didn't happen on a daily basis.
Could he be over at his mom's apartment?
No, Ms. Jackson would've let her know.
Could he have left her for Piper?..
NO. Again, as she had two nights ago, she shook that thought out of her head.Annabeth was currently sitting at her desk in her dorm, supposedly studying for a test coming up next week.
She heard a commotion outside, of cheers and whoops. Annabeth quickly ran outside to see what all the noise was for.
Then, up high, she saw it.
The Argo ||.
A/N: Yay! I updated! For any of you wondering, yes there will be a part 2! (And possibly three!) If you didn't understand the title, it's because Percy dissapeared again... And it's funny?
I don't know....If there are any grammar mistakes, PLEASE let me know! I hate grammatical errors.
Hopefully you enjoyed! Next update is coming next Tuesday!
