"Yes mom, I've checked in and I'm getting the key to my dorm now." I mouth sorry to the blonde behind the table, causing her to let out a laugh as she hands me the silver key.

My mom continues to bombard me with questions that I don't know how to answer, "I'm going to go now, I love you." I hang up the phone with a sigh and stick it in my back pocket, yet a smile overtakes my features as soon as I look up.

Birkbeck University of London is huge none the less, and the pictures do no justice. Clear windows cover the front side of the buildings, over looking the square. Students, professors and families fill the grass and I suddenly feel overwhelmed and alone in the midst of the chaos. Each person seems as if they're talking with someone and I trudge my belongings toward my dorm room while trying to read the printed map showing where each building is located. My maroon suitcase is heavy, and I hike my bag farther up my shoulder. As I look around campus, my eyebrows furrow at the sight of an older man in a suit pushing many young girls who are filling the walk ways and large grassy area out of the front gate. Yet, I push the thoughts from my mind quickly as I examine the different booths, begging for someone to join their club.

"Here let me help you!" A blonde interrupts my thoughts, causing a noise to fall from my mouth. I don't do well with meeting people. I've always been one to stay in while the rest of my high school went out partying. She blinks at me a few times before I hand her the bag off my shoulder while my suitcase rolls behind me. I stay silent as the two of us walk into Barnes Hall. Many girls, along with their parents crowd the hallway, making it hard for us to squeeze by. We reach the bottom of the stairs and the bubbly blonde let's out a breath before turning to me.

"I'm Charlotte," She grins, allowing me take in her thick English accent, posh clothing and long blonde hair. She looks like she belongs on a poster.

"I'm Adelina." I smile meekly and tuck a strand of dark hair behind my ear. She laughs and engulfs me in a hug, "Wait, Adelina Phillips? I'm your roommate!" Her toothy grin widens, if it were even possible and I smile as well and follow her toward our room on the second floor. Charlotte talks the whole way about where she's from, and what she's majoring in and I don't think she's taken a single breath, she doesn't have time to at the quick rate the words are escaping her mouth.

"How about you?" Charlotte turns the key and opens our door. The walls are a dark green which surround two beds with desks made of dark wood in between them. Her side of the room is decorated with a bright flower patterned comforter and fluffy pillows at the head of the bed. Three outfits lay on the desk and I shake my head with a smile when I see that each one is labeled.

"I'm majoring in Psychology, and I'm from Tennessee," I say as I set down my bags. She reaches for a box labeled 'Home' and begins to help me unpack.

"I knew you weren't from here, your accent is what Americans call Southern right?" She asks, her bright blue eyes searching my face and I let out a laugh, "Yes you could say that."

The two of us make small talk while we decorate my side of the room. Charlotte fills my desk with pictures, and items for school while I add a few posters to the walls, and luckily the green and brown on my comforter matches the paint color on the walls.

Once we finish, I move to look out the window, admiring the view. I can see London from here and my heart swells at the fact that I am actually here. My parents and myself both worked so hard to make this possible and I couldn't be more grateful. I had never been out of Tennessee before this, yet here I am on the other side of the world.

"No way." I hear Charlotte say and I raise an eyebrow at the blonde. She looks at her phone as she talks. "Harry Styles is going to school here."

The name is familiar but I push my eyebrows together as I try and think of the significance of his name. "Who?" Her jaw drops and shows me her phone, a news article is pulled up with a picture of the boy. His hair is long and dark, falling in soft ringlets that reach his shoulders. His smile is bright, and two dimples surround his heart shaped lips.

"He's going to school here. He's in a band called Infinity, they took a break and he picked this damned school to go to, Oh my God this is insane." Charlotte falls face first on her bed squealing into her pillow and my face becomes red from laughing so hard. It suddenly hits me that Harry is the reason all those girls were out front.

The blonde sits up from the bed a few moments later. Her breathing is regained yet she still grins like a mad woman, making me laugh once more. I've been around this girl thirty minutes and I can already tell we're going to be great friends, which is hard for me to say considering my past in Tennessee.

I check the time on my phone and grab the orientation check list off of the oak desk. From the looks of it, we have an hour until our first official meeting as a University and I couldn't be more excited to start this new chapter of my life.

But little did I know, everyone and everything I come to know, will backfire on me.

Okay hello everyone! That was the prologue! A little boring I know but keep reading, trust me it'll be worth your while! Thank you so much for reading! I love you all xx

** Small note! I've updated this since the first time I posted this chapter so if you're an old reader it may be a little different but that's just because I've improved as a writer and I didn't like this chapter at all so I edited it a little!
