Chapter 1- A month after the Coronation...

Mal's POV

The night of the coronation was so wicked it didn't even feel real. Almost everyone got their happy ending yesterday, except for my mom and the villains on the Isle. Ben has started his king duties and is getting a portrait of him painted next week to commemorate his coronation which is so crazy. I'm so proud of him because he stays so calm through all of the stress of being king.

First let me update you on the crew. Evie and Doug are so happy together and are actually going mirror shopping at the moment... Oh Eves... Lonnie and Chad aren't officially together yet, but I can see how her caring nature is rubbing off on him and the magic between them. Chad is quite a work in progress when it comes to being selfless instead of selfish. Jane and Carlos are getting really close too... Jane is obsessed with Carlos. She talks about him all the time... As in she even found a way to relate him to the average atomic weight of Silver. And last but not least Audrey and Jay. Audrey is... well she's Audrey... Clingy and self absorbed. Don't ask me how but Jay finds that really attractive. They are an interesting couple...

Now let me update you on the adults. First off, yes my mother is still a tiny lizard. I have gone through every spell from my book and there's nothing that can get her back except love, which means it's going to be really hard to get her back. We haven't tried to contact any of the villains back on the Isle because a)we're too scared b)we're too scared and c)we're too scared. You do not want to hear or be around a villain who doesn't get their way... Hint: It's pretty awful... Fairy Godmother is working on making improvements or safeguards so that the whole taking the wand situation doesn't happen at another coronation ever. Former King Beast and Queen Belle are enjoying life off of their royal responsibilities. However, I still don't think they like that Ben and I are going out. Especially Beast, although I expected him to be more empathetic because of his past, but I guess not. I really want them to like me which is so odd... Auradon is changing me... New Isle of the Lost kids still haven't been allowed to come to Auradon yet, and for a good reason, because the Kingdom is still settling down from Family Day *shivers* and Ben's Coronation. Speaking of Family Day, Queen Lia is still against us villain kids and probably hates me because of my mother. It's sad that I am branded because of my mother's cruel deeds... Another problem I have yet to face... :/

Now you're all caught up! Currently I am in my dorm, still in my pajamas, sketching a picture of Ben's ring. It's bad I still haven't given it back to him, but I mean he hasn't asked for it so I guess it's okay. It's our one month anniversary next week too so I'm going to have someone make him another ring with B+M forever etched on it and one for me matching his. I hear the door slam open and look up to see Evie walk through the door with Doug struggling with 3 mirrors plus 2 bags of compact mirrors.

Hey M!

E, How many mirrors do you need? Our dorm is going to turn into a disco ball and I'm going to need some serious sunscreen!

M chill! I only bought 36 this time.

ONLY 36! Okay Eves, we are going to have to go back through the reason why we don't need 36 on top of the 128 other mirrors in our closet.

Okay fine I'll start my Fall Cleaning!

Thank you! You have just saved the life of an innocent Mal! Have a nice day!, I said in a phone machine voice. She rolls her eyes.

All of a sudden we hear a thud. We totally forgot Doug was there struggling with 36 mirrors! Since he is passed out on the ground Evie does "CPR" in other words she just kisses him and suddenly he jolts awake. Laughing, E and I help get the mirrors off of Doug and set out to go eat lunch in the cafeteria, with me still in my PJs. We find everyone there except for Ben who is probably busy setting up the Annual Heroes and Heroines Festival which is another one of his royal duties. Everyone else is paired up and I sit alone in the midst of them so bored that I begin to sort my chips on my plate by size. Then I feel a tap on my shoulder, hoping it is Ben I turn around to see a royal guard. He says in a monotone voice,

King Ben requested your presence in the palace immediately.

I get up and follow the guard while casting a spell to make me look more presentable if I saw the King and Queen. We finally stop at the large doors of the castle. I peek through the window and see Ben with his paperwork and his crown slanted on his head. I walk into his study and he smiles and kisses me on the cheek.

Mal you know I hate it when you call me that!

I know haha! So what's up?

So the Heroes and Heroines Festival is coming up and you are signed up for a booth...

I know and.....

So what is your booth going to be?

Oh! It's going to be a Do It Your Selfie Booth!

Cool okay now would you like to go on a picnic with me?

I smile and we head out to go get strawberries and then head to the bridge to get to the Enchanted Lake.
