Chapter 5- The Lizard Did What?!?

I feel empty, shattered, I'm absolutely useless without my powers. Ugh I just HAD to use all of my strength at once. I'm so stupid, that was our last hope at getting the scepter and old Queen Lia back, but now, we are stuck in a fiery mess.

Literally a fiery mess.  The Queen has decided to turn herself into a dragon and carve her name in fire into the campus grounds. And apparently she doesn't know how to spell because she wrote "Qwean Liea" or at least that's what it looks like.  There is now burnt grass where Belle's garden used to be and there is a hole in the cafeteria ceiling.  

Then I see the scepter lying on the ground.  When she turned she must've had to leave the scepter down because her dragon hands, paws, claws... or whatever they're called would've snapped the scepter, therefore causing the powers to be released back into its original owner, my mother.  We all know how that would've turned out... Break the barrier, free the villains, World Domination.... Her whole villain to-do list which will hopefully never happen.  

Anyway, back to the scepter, it seems like a trap because it is out in the open, but then again Queen Lia is quite preoccupied in continuing to mess up the English language with her bad fire spelling skills.  I slowly creep toward the scepter as Evie is talking on the phone trying to check up on Audrey, Jay, and Carlos who seem to have gone MIA since my whole losing my powers incident.  My hand touches the scepter and I feel the energy circling me as the green mist surrounds me, giving me my powers back.  

The queen falls from her flying dragon form back into her human form as her eyes lose their green color. Her evil facial expression is now replaced with one of confusion.  I help her up as her wild eyes frantically look around at the destruction her alter ego caused. 

I sigh, "Queen Lia why did you go to the scepter in the first place? Why were you down in the dungeon where my mother was? Don't you remember you were supposed to attend tea with Beast and Belle?"

Frantically she says,"I was there to have tea with the former King and Queen, but for some reason my legs did not follow where I wanted to go. Suddenly I was possessed and was down in the dungeon where, for some reason, I told the guards that I was there to ensure that Maleficent was securely locked up.  They proceeded to let me in but before I got to your mother, my hand touched the scepter and I can't remember what happened after that.  What did happen? Why is Auradon Prep a mess? What did I do?"

Before I can answer her many questions Jay, Evie, Carlos, and Audrey run up. Audrey had been broken from  her sleep spell once the evil magic had been released from Queen Lia.  Queen Lia runs and hugs her granddaughter, but Audrey backs away. She begins to ask the same questions I did, scared her grandmother was not the same after her encounter with dark magic. 

But then I replay the Queen's words in my head. "Suddenly I was possessed..." What could've possessed he---r? My mother, Maleficent.  It has to be her because all of the other villains are still on the Isle. 

She must've twisted the spell she used on Sleeping Beauty to make Queen Lia help her escape, but something went wrong because it couldn't have been my mother's intention for Queen Lia to have the scepter.

Wait we haven't even found my mother yet! I yell, "EVIE MIRROR ME NOW!!!"

She runs over, "What's wrong Mal?"

"We need to find my mom! She's the answer to all of the problems we just had with Queen Lia and she can't just be out in Auradon!"

"Okay! Mirror Mirror in my hand where is Maleficent in this land"

The mirror then zooms in on the museum. I see her scurrying around the museum floor. She's after the wand AGAIN!!!

Sorry for another shortish chapter! life has been so hectic lately with school and family that I can't seem to catch a breath! I really hope you guys like where this story is going! If not could you please send me a message about what you would change? I would love to hear your thoughts.
