♥ Kris ♥
It's already noon and the guys are not yet awake.
I'm still staring at the sky, remembering Chris' confession yesterday.
I can't help it. I just can't seem to figure out why he'd choose me - why he'd confess to me.
I shrugged the thought off and went back inside the house.
I couldn't sleep at all so I decided to make breakfast for the boys.
Something is really off with me today.
"Good morning! I mean uh.. afternoon."
I dropped my spatula and smiled my fakest smile. Gosh, I'm like a fake Barbie or something with this forced smile on.
"Jacob! How's your sleep?" I asked, sighing a breath of relief realizing it wasn't Chris but Jacob.
"Oh, it's fine. I dreamt of Transformers abducting us!" He cheered.
"That's... great I guess but a Zombie Apocalypse would be more fun." I replied back, cracking two eggs in a pan.
"Really? I think zombies are gross." Jacob says in disgust.
I just said that to go with the flow..
Well, nevermind.
He took a nearby chair in the dining hall and sat on it, looking at me intensely as if examining me.
"Did something happen between you and Chris last night?"
I dropped the pepper shaker and tried to pick up the pieces but ended up coughing the black powder.
"Oh my god, are you alright?" Jacob asked, going to me and giving me a glass of water.
I sneezed my nose on a tissue paper and took the glass of water gratefully.
I needed that.
"Yeah, I am now. Geez." I sighed, slapping my forehead with the palm of my hand.
Oh Kristen, how can you be so oblivious? (Note the sarcasm)
"What's with you two? Mentioning just his name makes you all clumsy and... strange." Jacob eyed on me suspiciously.
"What? Me? Clumsy? Suspicious?? NOOO, OF COURSE NOT!" I replied, fake laughing and slapping his back playfully.
"Whatever, you are so weird today." Jacob hissed.
I'm so obvious, aren't I?
Don't worry, Kris.
This is Chris' last day in this house. You won't be seeing him again until the end of summer. Besides, it's probably a month away. Nothing to worry about now...
