* Kris *

"Kristen! You're here!" He jogged towards me with that cheeky smile drawn across his face.

Fuck.

"Who's he?" Chantelle whispered in my ear.

"No. No. No.." I whispered to myself.

"What? Why? Is he a creepy stalker or something? Do you want me to annoy the heck out of him?" Chantelle asked curiously and simultaneously that I couldn't even open my mouth to answer every question she threw at me.

"My ex.." I mumbled.

"Your what??" She asked, but I wasn't able to answer because the next thing I knew, he's here standing infront of me.

"I didn't know you attend this camp!" He perkily smiled, hugging my waist and pulling me closer making me let out a short gasp.

"What? You stalked through the camp's files or maybe you hacked their archive system or something." I hissed.

"Relax. I'm a regular in this camp..." Then she turned to look at my mew friend. "Right, Sasha?"

"It's Chantelle," Chantelle hissed. "And I never saw you attend this camp." She squints her eyes in irritation.

"Apparently, that's lying you just did." I say, shoving his arms away from me. "And you, my friend will forever be a lying, cheating bastard."

Chantelle gasped and tried to kick Evan but he's too tall for her to even kick his knee. I appreciate the concern though.

"How can you cheat on such a wonderful woman?!" Chantelle angrily snapped, making me feel a teensy bit touched and fuzzy inside. "Let's go, Kris." She says, slinging her arm on my shoulder and pulling us both to our respective hut.

When we both settled down, my heart was slamming inside my chest for some reason.

I don't think I still like the guy but he still makes my heart race, which is strange.

"Gosh, I never had a boyfriend before. That must suck, huh? For you." She says and her eyes looked as if she's about to cry.

"First love, first boyfriend." I sighed, "But it doesn't matter anymore. I am so over him."

"You don't look like you're over him." She whispered, "So how does your first time feel?"

"W-What? No, we didn't.. We never crossed that line. We didn't even reach second base..." I said frantically, making my words all jumbled up. I never thought she'd ask such a daring question to begin with.

"Good." She shrugs, "I don't want a guy to go all the four bases with me and know he cheats on me, I mean- who knows if he has gotten the HIV or AIDS of another girl then passed on to you-"

I winced at the thought.

"So what about you? Any boyfriends? Exes?" I asked.

"Nah." She sighed, plopping herself on her side of the bed. "Oggling your brother for two and a half years wasn't really a turn on and might've scared future potential boyfriends."

"Wow, but you're really beautiful... and-"

"Why, thank you." She interrupts as if knowing my next question. "I don't know. Your brother's special. Well. in my eyes, that is. But he'll never like me."

"How come?" I managed to ask out of politeness but I know why. Rivers.

"I'm two years older than him. It's impossible. And he seems to always brush me off. I know I will never be his type." she was in the brink of tears and it made my chest throb too.
