The macbook projected his face on Facetime.

"You're so pretty," He smiles.

"you're sweet," I reply.

"Aw baby," He gushes.

"I want to be in your arms right now," The words fall from my mouth with affection.

"I want you to be here in my arms, too,"

After a moment of silence, he speaks again. "Halloween is soon,"

"Lets be..." I think, "Tweedle dee and Tweedle Dum,"

"Wow, that means theres gonna be color in my outfit," He grumbles

"Its halloween, you need to do it" i instruct.

"Send me dirty pics, and I will," He smirks.

"Fine, whatever," I say, making his eyebrows raise.

"Really?" He scoffs.

"To see you as tweedle dum, yes," I smile widely.

Cody is literally the only person who can make me smile. I play for my parents. The fact that my parents are going to pull me away from the one person, is heartbreaking. Do they even care? Do they even know? If they knew would they love me?

"Cody.. I have to go eat dinner.. I havent eaten all day," Lying. Im not gonna eat.

"Okay baby, I love you," Lies.

"Love you too," Truth.

I end the call, shutting my laptop.

I know Cody isnt happy, himself. He puts his time and energy trying to help me be happier as a person. Should I just stop being with him? My lord, I need something to calm my anxiety.

I trudge to my window, the cold air hitting me as i open it.

I hoist myself up and over the window ledge, and quickly hit the ground.

The money that happened to be in my pocket, secured as i grabbed it, running through the driveway, down the street, out the neighborhood and into one of the main streets.

Cars slowly passed, as it was not busy at night. I ran, until I got to the gas station. My money hit the counter with the brand new lighter and cigarettes.

"I.D?" The man orders.

"I don't have it," I look at him. My hands shaking.

"If you are gonna buy these, you need an I.D," He starts. "I can give you the lighter though," I nod, tapping my fingers on the counter. He takes a portion of the money, then handing me the lighter. I collect the rest of the money, shoving it in my front pocket, then walking out.

"Hey, kitten," I hear a voice say from their car.

I look over to see one of my friends, Eric Omel, sitting in a car.

"Its cold. Come on in," I walk to the car, opening the door, then jumping into the warm vehicle.

"Saw you trying to buy a pack," His New York accent very clear.

"Yeah," I shrug.

"Try this, it's better," He pulls out a pipe, and weed in a pill bottle. "I know its not much, but it can get your mind off ya worries"

"you can pack, right?" He asks, starting the car, turning off the air and starting to drive.

"I'm sure i can figure it out," I open the bottle, taking some between my fingers and dropping it in. Then again, and again, till filled enough. Then i squish it down with the bottom of the pill bottle.

"You can smoke whatever, I'm trying to quit anyways," I see hes smiling.

"Thank you," I put the opening to my lips, holding my finger over the carbonator, and lighting the sides. I pull away from my lips, feeling the burn in my throat and the smoke fill my lungs. I let a breathe in, letting the smoke rise out.

My phone starts vibrating. Its cody. I quickly press decline, starting the smoking process over again.

"So, You looking for a thrill? Because my friend invited me over, and we are gonna do mad drinking and having powdered doughnuts, if you know what I mean," He keeps his eyes on the road.

"Not up for the cocaine part," I let the smoke out. "But I will dabble in drinking,"

Within minutes, i finish the bowl and we arrive at his friends.

It was a total of 3 people. 2 girls, and another guy. The guys name was John, and the 2 girls were Kristy and Alice.

Mirrors sat on the table, with a few straws and bags of white power. which i presume to be cocaine. Maybe I should try it.

After an hour, I decided to try it.

"Wow, you're actually doing it," Eric says. "We'll be the first to witness kitty's rebellion,"

John sets up two lines, about the length of my finger and the width of the straw. I take the straw, pressing it up against my nose, and eventually snorting the entire line of coke up my nose. I snort a little more, so the general amount goes up my nose.

I snort the next line, right after.

Energy shot through my body. I wanted more, but i decided against it.

My phone buzzed again.

"I'll be right back," I rush out the door.

"Hello?" I hum, answering the phone, and rubbing my numb nostrils.

"Baby," He sternly says, "Your parents told me you werent home, and that i need to find you," I can hear anger. "I told them you were here,"

"I'm not in a good condition to be picked up right now," I had drinkin a few Blue Moons, so I am not completely trashed, but still.

"Where are you?" He growls.

"Cody, stay out of my business," I talk back.

"You know what? I'm not in a good mood as it is," He starts, "I care too much about you, I'm always worrying. about you. I dont want to live like this,"

"Do you think I want to be like this either?" I start crying, "I know I am taking a toll on you, but I cant live without you,"

"We're over. I'm done. Bye," He hung up.

Tears spring down my face. I walk back inside, catching the attention of everyone in the tiny living room.

"Will someone get me some Dxms?" I bluntly ask, making Alice stand up, and come by my side.

"We'll be back," she says, then grabbing the keys, walking out the front door and into the car.

These group of kids arent ghetto, or bad, or trashy. They are a,b average kids with a nice family, clothes, and great lives. But like me, they are looking for a thrill. Alice is a half white, half asian girl, that might I say has a lot of money. To her parents, she is a sweet girl that believe can not do wrong.

I am not doing these things because of cody.. I am doing these things because I have nobody to stop me. Nobody I have to please.
