chapter 3

FINN’S POV

Our lips moved passionately in sync. I couldn’t ask for more. The second I saw her, it took a whole lot of strength not to just kiss her. She was beautiful. Eventually we both pulled away, smiling shyly at one another. I tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear, making her blush a tad. She was so cute! She stood up slowly. My eyes never left her once. We continued walking in the previous direction. Our arms were swinging to the same er, beat I guess you could call it. Our fingers kept brushing and I couldn’t hold it in any longer, I grabbed her hand and entwined our fingers. She looked away, blushing. 

“Don’t do that” I laughed. “Huh?” she questioned. “When you blush it’s cute, don’t look away” I repeated. “Oh” she smiled. 

Eventually we arrived at the shops. We ordered quite a lot of pizza’s 9 or 10 I think. Whilst we waited for the pizza’s to cook, we left the store, still holding hands and walked into the DvD rental store. We searched around for nothing really, as we looked through the different films. I grabbed a couple scary ones, and she grabbed some comedies. We payed for them, before walking back into the pizza store and picking up the warm pizza. 

The middle aged woman smiled at our entwined fingers. “You’re such a cute couple” she said. Zoe looked away, blushing slightly before giggling. “We aren’t a couple”, she replied shyly. “Yet” I corrected, winking at her. The lady smiled at us again before we left the store, walking back to the boys’ apartment. 

- ZOE’S POV -

As soon as we walked through the door, we were bombarded with questions like:

“HOW LONG DID YOU GUYS TAKE?!”

“DID YOU GUYS KISS?”

“ZOE DID HE SNOG YOU?” 

“WHY ARE YOU’S HOLDING HANDS?!”

“OH MY GOD THEIR HANDS!” 

“ARE YOU DATING?!”

“DID YOU GET THE MOVIES?”

and more. Finn and I laughed at them.

“You guys are like the girly friends I never had!” I laughed.

“Err, thanks?” Sam laughed.

“What do you mean, ‘Never had’?” Caspar asked.

“Um, save that story for another time eh? Let’s eat, I’m hungry!” I said nervously, changing the subject. They all shared strange looks before shrugging their shoulders as we sat down to eat. The boys put in ‘I love you Beth Cooper’. We were all basically in tears by the end of the film. 

I noticed through out the whole thing, I suddenly kept getting closer, and closer towards Finn. Hey, I wasn’t complaining, the complete opposite if anything! 

Before the next movie started Marcus handed every one blankets, winking and smirking at Finn and I whilst he was at it. 

“What are we watching now?” I asked.

“You’ll seee” Jack smirked.

Oh shit. 

The lights flickered off as the movie title flashed across the screen. 

Scream 3.

Fuck my life.

“Really guys” I frowned.

“Awww is Zoeeee scared?” Louis and Alfie teased.

“Fuck off” I spat, “but yes” I said, they all laughed a bit before quieting down as the movie began.

“It’s okay babe, I’m here, I’ll protect you” Finn surprisingly whispered into my ear, sending shivers down my spine and butterflies dancing in my stomach. Woah. How does he have that effect on me. 

He kissed my cheek before I focused back on the tv screen. So far, about half the movie had played out and I was scared shitless. I had screamed numerous times, and each time I had snuggled closer, and closer into Finn’s chest. He was comfortable!

FINN’S POV -

Zoe was so cute throughout the entire movie, with or without her ear piercing screams. It was halfway through the movie when she was starting to doze off in my chest. I decided I would put her into the spare bed to get her some rest.

“Guys” I said loudly, making them jump.

“JESUS FINN!” Jack screamed.

“Shhhh” I said, gesturing to Zoe.

“Sorry” he murmured. 

“Caspar is it cool if I take her to the spare room?” I asked.

“Go for it mate” he replies. “No funny business, my mum sleeps there when she’s over” Marcus said sternly, making everyone chuckle a bit.

“Shut up Marcus” I hiss jokingly, before walking up the stairs, carrying Zoe bridal style. 

She was stirring slightly as I placed her down on the mattress.

“Finn” she barely whispered as I was about to walk out.

“Mmmhhmm?” I replied, turning around.

“Finn, stay” she murmured, reaching out her hand. I smiled.

I held her hand as I went to rest on the bean bag on the floor.

“Finn, don’t be stupid. Come up here” she said sleepily, patting the spot on the double bed next to her. “Er, Zoe are you sure? I can go if you want me to?” I asked, when all I wanted to do was jump in next to her and hold her tightly. She just nodded. I slipped into the covers and wrapped my arms around her. She turned so her back was against my chest. We ‘spooned’ comfortably for the rest of the night. I eventually fell into a peaceful, and happy sleep, holding the girl I will make mine, hopefully soon.
