Chapter 8

Lucy's P.O.V.

Yey! We're on our way to the client's house which is just in Magnolia which means we wont spend a lot of money.

"Lushee you're smile is creeping me out" Happy said.

My smile faded and turned into a frown.

"I don't have a creepy smile Happy" I defended.

"But why is your smile so wide?" Natsu asked.

I started skipping.

"I don't know it feels like it'll be a nice day"

As we were walking I saw an old lady asking for money.

I went near to her and put some money inside her mug.

"Be warned!"

The old lady suddenly said raising her face.

"What do you mean?" Natsu asked.

"Be warned of the danger of your journey" she said.

I looked at Natsu looking confused.

"What are we to be warned of?" I asked.

She pointed at me.

"The danger. Danger that you will lose someone dear to you"

Then she pointed at Natsu.

"The danger of losing oneself"

"Be warned"

Natsu and I looked at each other.

"Ummm... Natsu, Lushee... Let's go that old lady is creeping me out" Happy said pulling Natsu's arm.

We started walking again still confused on what happened.

What does she mean danger?

We arrived at the client's house. Its pretty big but its weird that its the only house standing in this area.

We rang the doorbell and we saw a maid.

We told her that we were the ones doing the job and she let us in.

As we entered the house I was stunned.

It was like a castle. Mostly everything was made of gold and crystal.

"Please sit down while I call the Master" the maid said.

We sat down on the couch. I looked at the crystal chandelier above us. It was very sparkly.

Someone coughed which made us divert our attention to the one who coughed.

It was a man wearing a suit. He must be the client and owner of this house.

I stood up. "Good morning Sir we are the ones who took your request"

"I know. Please sit down" he said taking the seat in front of us.

"As the request paper said you'll have to slay a hundred monsters" he said.

"How much is the reward?" Natsu asked.

"21,000 jewels" he said.

Wow that is pretty big. Big enough for the three of us to divide.

"But don't worry the monsters that you are going to slay are just small" he added.

I guess this will be a very easy job.

And with that we bid our farewell to the client and went to the west forest of Magnolia where the monsters are.

"Hey Luce should we continue with the job?" Natsu asked.

I faced him with a confused look.

"Why?"

"I don't know I feel like there is something wrong and I can't get any scent from the man and the maid"

"Mabye it's just your imagination"

"Mabye"

And with that we went off to the west forest.
