Cronus analyzed Zeus, trying to anticipate any twitch Zeus' body made. The silence of the crowd was deafening.

Cronus mind slowed down fast movement so that he could respond instantly to an attack, but the only limit to that ability was the factor of how fast he could respond. All Cronus saw within the measure of an eighth of a second was light flashing around Zeus and what appeared to be broad strands of electrical energy warping around Zeus' body in particular patterns as Zeus ran crossing the gap between them in a tiny fraction of a second, jumping and using his left fist to throw a rocket like punch at Cronus' face.

Cronus first instinct was to manipulate the space within which Zeus' fist was coming, to slow it down and he did so, but faster than he could think, Zeus' fist smacked his face. Cronus felt the bones in his jaw connect with unnatural density. He was flipped in a small arc backwards and his skull bounced against the white and green grass covered earth, displacing some of it before he landed a few yards away. Cronus was not dazed. The punch, he deemed, was not that powerful, but he was certainly surprised. He thought he heard Zeus say, "Blitz arrow," as he passed by.

Zeus had stopped thirty-one yards away from Cronus as he had pass by him while throwing the punch and spun around like this famous Martian dancer Jachkael Michson.

"Got the first punch," said Zeus, flicking his nose with his right thumb and bounced around shifting his feet loosely like a boxer.

Cronus flipped up into a standing position, spun around and launched himself at Zeus, moving like a bullet, he was leaning forward at first but before he reached Zeus he planted his right foot into the ground and twisted his body as he swung with an uppercut from his right hand.

Instantly Zeus leant backwards with his body straight to dodge it, using his levitating ability, the manipulation of magnetic fields, to look as if he was resting on thin air. In a split second he pushed with all his might using his levitation ability to propel himself, kneeing Cronus in the stomach and crushing the armor around his gut. Cronus tried to slow that action down again with time manipulation, but again it failed and he was not winded by the attack to his gut, but he was furious. He was further annoyed by Zeus saying, "Gut-buster."

Cronus tried to bear-hug him before he could dart away, but a blinding flash of light was emitted by Zeus as his body, cell by cell, down to the atom, was converted into electrical energy and the formless chain of energy that was the result of Zeus' transformation zipped out of Cronus' grasp, looped around him, converting back into flesh and bone instantly. Zeus used the momentum to dropkick Cronus in the back of the head. Cronus felt his skull fracture slightly. The speed was incredible multiplying the force immensely.

The force was so tremendous that Cronus' head slammed into the ground before the rest of his body reacted to the shift in spatial orientation. The rest of his body contorted in the next instant and flipped over, arcing backwards and Cronus managed to land on his feet, but his head was rattled. He snapped into focus. He thought he heard Zeus say, "Arrow dropkick," as he kicked Cronus' head.

Cronus shot towards Zeus and was right in front of him crossing twenty-one yards in just under one second. None of the Martian observers could see any of Cronus' and Zeus' movements. The speed was too incredible to witness. They would have to watch it after the fight had been recorded and slow everything down. However, in this moment Cronus did not move fast enough to really challenge Zeus. All Zeus had to do was quickly step to the side and Cronus' fist pummeled the air where Zeus had stood a fraction of a second before. Zeus could feel the 'whoosh' of the air as Cronus' fist swung by him. Cronus was obviously trying to hit harder now.

Zeus spun right under Cronus, jumped with a boost of electrical energy channeled into his legs to increase power, at the same time reeled back his left arm, electrifying it and smashed an uppercut into Cronus jaw and heard the concussive, 'thwok' of his punch as Cronus was lifted a few feet into the air and collapsed on his back, rubbing his chin. His dense jawbone had met its match.
