I'm tired. How is everyone else??

The darkness was beginning to get to me after about two hours. I didn't know what was happening upstairs, only able to hear the faint noises of crashes and such. I had given up on trying to escape from the shackle a while ago, the metal only cutting deep into my wrist when I tried to get free of it. And it was as if my magic wasn't working.

I had stopped yelling for help long ago as well, and hoped someone would find me. I felt helpless, and I hated it. Suddenly, everything became quiet, and it felt as if the whole house had become still.

I straightened and I was unmoving, my shoulders shaking with cold. The stone floor hadn't helped much. I waited, and waited, but nothing changed. "Help!" I screamed, my voice raw.

Then, I heard it, footsteps. I grew scarred, and hopeful at the same time as the door to wherever I was opened and light flooded in. I covered my eyes at the suddenness of it, and tried to make out who the person was through my fingers.

"Stein, you bastard!" Three people yelled at once.

A faint, "Whaatttt?" came from another room as the three boys ran down the stairs into the room I was in.

"Crap." Soul said as he checked me for injuries.

"Stein..." Black Star said as he broke the shackle on my wrist with his bare hands. "Such a show stealer..." he said.

Kid helped me up and looked me over with the other two. "I'm fine." I said.

"Are you sure he didn't hurt you?" Kid asked. "You never know what Stein could do..."

"I'm okay!" I said, and pulled from their grips, running up the stairs and out of the dark room where I had been for the past few hours. I stepped into the light and sighed with relief. "Thank god..." I said as my eyes adjusted to the light.

"(y/n)! are you okay?!" Maka's voice said, and I was crushed by a hug.

"I-I'm fine, Maka. I just hurt my wrist a little while trying to escape-" and then I saw him... the snake-man. I screamed, and raised my hands, a light flicker of my magic, which was returning slowly, moved over my hands. "Get back mother-"

"(Y/N)!" Maka yelled. "It's just Stein!" she said.

I looked distrustfully at the lizard thing, and watched as it seemed to be laughing as it held a cigarette to its mouth with two of its long claws. "Just the professor." The thing said.

I looked at the form next to him, and nearly had a heart attack when I saw the figure of the girl from the horror move. My magic returned, and Maka tackled me. "That's just Asuka! Chill out, girl!" she said.

After I was sure that it was in fact my teacher and friend, I calmed down. "What was that for, guys?" I asked the two, who were now laughing at my fear.

"They said that it was all a mission from Death to scare us." Kaneki said, in the back, and I saw that his shirt was torn, but he had no wounds.

"Mother ass hoes!" a voice said, and I watched as Nagisa ran into the room we were in, dragging a disgruntled Rei with him.

"What is it now?" Stein asked, his snake voice unsettling.

Nagisa swore again, and pushed Rei behind him. A random switchblade appeared in his fingers, and he pointed it at Stein and Asuka. "Bitches! You were the guys who stole Rei's shirt!" he said. He then looked at them again, a sort of thanks in is eyes. "Though, I can't complain about that..."

"It's just our teacher and Asuka." Maka said, and the short blonde chilled out. Maka turned to Stein and Asuka, a question in her eyes. "So if Mari was helping you guys, where is she now?"

Nagisa made a noise. "Don't tell me Mari is who we were running from..." he said. We all looked at him. He shrugged. "I'd never admit to running from anything, but that shit was crazy." He said. "And I know it wasn't that stuff I took earlier!" We all stared at him.

Stein laughed with Asuka again, and we all looked at them. "Mari's still in the house... and she's having fun." Asuka said, her voice sounding horrifying, as if three people were talking for her. Her glowing red eyes looked over all of us, and I shivered, looking down. "I would hide if I were you." She said. "She may be letting a little of her insanity "interfere" with this."

We all turned to the doorway of the room we were in, the living room, as we heard a rasping whisper coming from the next room, and dark shadows spilled into our room. Me and the rest of my friends, new ones included, all took a step back simultaneously, as something stepped into the living room.

"I can't sense any magic." Maka said, her voice scared.

A figure shrouded in black shadowy magic stepped fully into the living room, and I felt my heart stop as the shadows seemed to "fall" to the floor, and we were left starring at a gruesome form that couldn't be human.

Black eyes surrounded by blue hair looked up at us, a crazy smile on Mari's face as she looked over us. "Hello, friends." She said.

I gulped, afraid. She had gone bat-shit crazy.
