Ty's P.O.V

I glide into English class. I love this class. This class gives me the strength to get through the day. My passion is writing and we've made it to the poetry unit! I adore writing poetry. Adam slides into the doorway of the classroom and my thoughts begin to wander in a different direction. He's so beautiful. I wish I could tell him that. I wonder if he knows. He has to, right? Someone that pretty must know they are attractive. There is something I've always wondered about more than that. What do his eyes look like? Adam has never taken his sunglasses off in my presence. Only his family has seen his eyes. I lay in bed sometimes and wonder what they look like.

Not even Jessica, or as I like to call her, slutbag, has seen his eyes. So, maybe that means he doesn't really care about her. Anyways, I write a ton of poetry about Adam's eyes.

"Good afternoon, Class," Mrs. White tugs me away from my thoughts.

"The daily poem assignment for today is about love," She glances around the room.

Groans from the boys and gasps from the girls fill the room. Me personally? I love writing love poems. I'm cheesy. I know.

Adam's P.O.V

I really enjoy writing love poems. Jocks can be sensitive too! Besides, it's my only way to show Ty my feelings without actually telling him. Plus, all the girls think the poems are about them or my girlfriend. It's a win win situation.

"Okay class, get to work and remember you don't have to write about how great love is. You can write about the heartbreak and heartache that love sometimes brings. Get creative," Mrs. White says.

Mrs. White always knows how to inspire us. Alright, let's see what we can come up with.

Your long hair shadows me from yours eyes.

How mysterious it makes them.

Your smile unfolds onto your face and I feel like

I'm falling in love all over again.

Your intelligence pulls me close and grows

the attraction to you.

I think you could be the one to spend the rest of

my life with.

Ty's P.O.V

Shadowed.

Darkness.

Like the tinted windows on a car not revealing

what is inside.

Blocked from view a thing so beautiful you keep

it hidden in fear of being loved for only that.

I'm in love with the mystery and in love with you.

It pulls me closer to you.

The wanting to know my pull me into madness

but I hold back.

Keeping myself grounded with your voice.

Keeping myself grounded with you.

I may be in love with the mystery.

But I love you more.

Wow, I really pulled all my angsty energy into that one. I think Mrs. W will like it. She told us to be creative.

"It seems like everyone is done or close to it," She scans the room. "Ty would you like to come up and share your poem." She smiles.
