Natsu had 1 day to make his decision. He stared at his stressed reflection in the lake where he had a 'special' encounter with Gajeel.
He sighed, hoping his frustration would blow out along with his sigh. He put a hand through his hair, each strand softly weaving through his fingertips. Natsu blinked real hard, just to stop the tears from coming out of his onyx eyes. What was crying going to do to help him in this situation? His memory was gone, it's not like he could go to anyone for help.
Another memory flashed in the dragon slayer's mind, though it was only a flash. He saw a dark haired boy that looked about 10 or 11 years old. He smiled at him. "Nii-San!" He yelled with delight as the vision faded away. Natsu groaned in annoyance, it was either a fake one or a real one and either way it wouldn't help all of the stress on his shoulders anyway.
Then Natsu remembered what he did at Blue Pegasus. He shivered at the thought, all of those people, their blood is on his hands . Natsu was terrified at the horrific things he was capable of. The decision would affect everything deciding who he would choose.
He thought about Lucifer, how he would welcome Natsu with open arms and teach him to control the terrifying magic aroma coming off of him. But he was just using Natsu to kill more people, but even so...they were only human, and Natsu was much more to them, maybe it wouldn't be so bad killing these peasants...
WHAT IS HE THINKING!? Natsu punched his thigh and threw a boulder in the lake. This isn't like him! Or did he always act like this? "AAAAGH" Natsu groaned. Covering his eyes with his palms and throwing his head back in defeat. His lips quivered, about ready to cry.
Wait a minute, he had a house right? He had to have been living somewhere before his amnesia. He would just have to find it. But where would he even start? Well, he did have those Fairy Tail weirdos he could ask. But then Lucifer might know as well.
Another memory came into his mind, it was an image of a house. It was run down, and it looked like some old guy museum. But Natsu noticed the sign in front of it. It was a yellow sign with red paint. 'Natsu and Happy'.
Natsu smirked. "Well brain, looks like your good for something useful after all." Natsu chuckled.
"What would you do, if Lucifer told you to kill me?" The black haired Mage spoke. Natsu froze, the mention of killing sending chills all the way down his spine.
"Wha-Why would I be told to kill people?" Natsu shivered. Remembering the horrid sin he had done at Blue Pegasus. Zeref slightly grunted in disappointment. "Because it's the power people will be after now. You should prepare yourself Natsu. The memories that flash your mind have a 50/50 chance of being false." Zeref spoke.
"What if I don't want this power? Maybe I just want to find my family and live a normal life." Natsu said. Staring at the clear blue sky. Zeref flinched.
"Well, Lucifer may help you. But after that, he'll use you like a puppet. You'll mindlessly walk this world never finding out the truth about your past. But your powers will be tame. The guild of Fairy Tail will help you as well, but then what after this is all over? It's not like they can act like nothing happened, you'll be feared by your comrades." Zeref says.
Natsu froze, his pupils shrinking as Zeref and him watch the grass die at their feet.
"Well Natsu, being alone. Or being feared by your once called friends?"
Wow! I'm so sorry I haven't updated! T_T but I have school and it's really hard to come up with ideas. So this chapter is short, gomensai!
But in this chapter, Natsu tries to find his way home, but is he having second thoughts? Will he join Lucifer, the man who wants all of his power, or FairyTail, the rowdy guild that treats him like dust because he has a terrifying power? Find out next time!
