The long dark hallways of the castle seemed to be empty except for a young girl named Crystal who seemed to be rushing somewhere. Crystal's short, vanilla blonde hair bounced as she kept walking quickly. Her long, orange flame dress dragged onto the castle floors. She would've been running but she had high heels on and didn't want to break her ankles anytime soon.
Today was a special day, but not for Crystal. It was an important day for her best friend. It was her coronation day and she was late. Terribly late and she had to be there since she was part of the princesses soon to be royal army.
After walking for what felt like forever, Crystal had finally made it to the ballroom. Outside of the ballroom doors was another young girl, wearing a cloak that covered her entire face. She was wearing a black dress with stars all over it. "I see you finally arrived...after an hour." The young girl spoke in a soft, calming tone.
"An hour?! I didn't know I was that late! I didn't miss anything important did I, Omni? Crystal frowned as she asked the young woman in front of her. She started panicking more. What would her best friend think of her being extremely late to her most important event?
Omni stood silent for a moment being responding, "go inside and see for yourself." Crystal looked at Omni worriedly before turning to the ballroom doors. She took a deep breath before pushing the doors open, walking inside.
The ballroom was decorated beautifully with angel white curtains on every window. There were a vase of roses on every dinning table, each being a different color. The aroma of delectable food filled the air.
Once Crystal stepped inside, all eyes were turned to her. Crystal glanced at Allison Scarlett who was standing on a podium. The room was dead silent, as if the coronation hadn't even started yet.
Princess Allison, in her beautiful long white dress with golden stripes, turned to Crystal with a rather saddened face. Was she sad because she was late? After what felt like forever, Crystal finally broke the silence. "What's going on? It's like the coronation hasn't even started."
"That's because it hasn't started. We can't start the coronation without my mother and she is no where to be seen. I sent out a search party but they haven't come back yet." Allison replied. She looked as if she was about to say something else, but the ballroom doors suddenly opened.
In the doorway stood an badly injured guard. Crimson blood dripped from his open wounds as he began to speak weakly. "Princess, you need...to see what's outside..." The guard then fainted from blood loss as the room of royal representatives began to panic.
Omni sighed from outside of the ballroom, hearing the panicked whispering from inside. "So it begins..."
