It's never goodbye

I don't know what it was about her. She was different to everyone else I had met. She just had this sense of calmness and beauty. She wasn't plastered in make up like every other girl I knew. She didn't pretend to be anyone else. She was just herself. Aurora.

"What you smiling at?" My friend asked and I didn't say anything. "You ok?" He asked again as I started to run towards the hospital. "Yeah." I yelled, "Just need to meet someone special!" I said running still. I was off to meet Aurora again. It had been three weeks since we had first met. She had had the operation she needed and was looking much better. "You ok?" I asked as I sat next to her. "Yep. Look after phone. I'm sleeping." She said throwing her phone at me. Over the last weeks I had become more known on Aurora's twitter account and had been welcomed into TWfanmily by many people. TWfanmily is the fanbase of The Wanted. The Wanted brought so much joy to Aurora. To her they aren't just a boy band. They are litrally her life. I watched as she sleeped. Suddenly I felt her phone vibrate. On the screen it said 'Twitter: New Direct Message from: @TomTheWanted: hope your doing ok. My mum told me about you :) x' I read the message over and over again. What do I do? She's asleep! "Wake up. Wake up." I said panicking. I watched as Aurora woke up slowly but she was not happy. "Leave me alone. I'm asleep." She said failing to notice I was jumping up and down next to her madly. "You won't care that Tom from The Wanted DM'ed you then?" I said and watched as her eyes widened and filled with tears. "Oh shiii" she cursed with tears falling like a waterfall from her eyes. "My life. It's complete." She said laughing happily. I watched as I experienced how much joy people you haven't even met can bring you. It was truly remarkable. We laughed for hours on end but then I had to leave. "Goodnight" she said falling asleep.

Time goes by slowly when you are desperate for a chat with someone you like. I missed her laugh. Her smile. Everything about her and yet we were still like strangers. I hardly knew her. The bell rang signalling the end of the school day. I took my usual walk home and got changed. I made a cup of tea and then walked to my new friends house . Aurora's. "Hi James." Aurora's mum said opening the door quickly after I rang the doorbell. "She's upstairs." Her mum said and I walked upstairs and stopped outside Aurora's door. Music was playing at full blast.

I opened the door and found Aurora sat there writing in her notebook like usual. "You ok?" I asked noticing that she looked different to what she had the other week. "I don't know." She said not looking up. I sat down next to her and gave her a hug. "What are we?" She asked and I answered, "humans." A look of shock appeared over her face. "Not like that" she said. "Are we friends or something else?" She said and I traced the veins on her arm. "I don't know. What do you want to be?" I said and she looked up. "I'd quite like to be your girlfriend." She said shyly. I smiled. " Then you can be the princess and I'll be the monster" I said and she didn't look impressed. "You. Can be the prince if I'm the princess. " I nodded and gave her a hug. We talked about everything over the next few hours but I could tell something was wrong. "Just tell me." I said and she looked at me and smiled. "Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I love you ok?" She said and I accepted it. She wouldn't tell me so there was no point in asking her more questions. I looked at the clock. 9pm. "I have to go" I said but there was no reply. "Aurora?" I said. Nothing. I looked down and I sighed. She was asleep. I carefully moved her and tucked her into bed and gently gave her a kiss on the forehead. I was glad she was finally mine. I could say she was mine now. She was my girl. My girlfriend.
