When the night sky darkens,
The shadows move in the corner of your eye
The small light of the moon glaring down on the town
No one is about,
No one will know,
Of the tale of halloweens soul
It will wonder the night in search of its food,
It's victim,
It's meal,
It will stalk the shadows and weave the light as it creeps up behind an unexpected delight
Dressed up in pink with glitter in shine,
Attracts the beast, it's preying mind
For this Halloween be smart,
Or your next day will be met in the dark.
