The atmosphere around us had quickly darkened as he said those words. I watched him walk towards me, his hands fisted by his sides.
Great.
As he stalked towards me, my body immediately went into the stance anybody would have made if a lion marched up to them. My body was tense, I was so frightened. Not of him, but of what he might do to me. After all, nobody is safe with anyone, even if you trust them wholeheartedly.
Clearly this guy had trust issues with his girlfriend, or none he wouldn't have become so pissy as soon as I mentioned her. I don't blame her if she cheated on him, who'd want to date a disgusting, unpalatable male who audaciously exposes himself in front of women?
Yes, I was still traumatized.
He stopped right in front of me, so my face was almost touching his chest, and I had to look up to see his menacing face. Not something I'd complain about if I woke up next to it every morning. Focus Mia! This guy might rape you!
"You're a feisty little one aren't you?" He barked. His arms were folded on his chest and he was giving me a contemptuous glare. "Do you even know who you're speaking with, lady? Or do you want me to knock some GK into that goldfish brain of yours?"
My eyebrow instantly shot up. Did this guy just refer to himself as a GK fact? Who the hell did he think he was?
"I have enough GK to differentiate between a prick and an actual prince, thank you very much," I scoffed as I crossed my arms. "And just because I'm a woman doesn't mean I'm less smarter than you are, loser. I think you should knock some manners into yourself first."
"Says the hypocrite who vomits 'FEMINISM' in every word she says. I didn't even say anything against women in general and you start giving me your 'I'm an independent woman' lecture. Women these days, SMH."
Is this guy for real?
I groaned and did a little 'melting-in-frustration' move before I rolled my eyes. Was he like 12? Who even says Internet abbreviations out loud like that?
"Do you even know the meaning of feminism?" I scowled, eyeing his now pouted lips. "OMG I seriously pity your girlfriend. She must have a hard time just standing next to you. She has my deepest condolences. You know, in case she leaves you, or even worse, commits suicide."
I framed an award winning smile on my face as I said those words. Lol. I wish you all could see his face right now. Okay... I take my previous statement on internet short forms back. Hehe. What? Obviously the Internet has had its toll on the both of us here.
I sensed a muscle twitch in his jawline. I faced his gorgeous deep blue eyes afterward to check his reaction. Bingo.
He stared at my face for a fraction of a second before an arrogant, tight smile lined his lips. His annoyed expression before had now changed to something more... menacing.
"And my deepest condolences to you and your little goldfish brain. You never know when one of them might just suddenly, disappear." said Arthur as he moved his overcoat to the side and touched a hidden object fastened on his belt.
A gun.
My eyes widened a bit. I was a bit threatened at the way he said the last word, but I didn't make it prominent on my face.
