Which One To Choose

Claires POV.

Beep. Beep. Beep. No, today is not the day. "Rise and shine!" My mom burst into my room. "Your breakfast is downstairs good luck on your first day of high school!" After she left my room I listened for the garage to close then I got up. Yes, it was. Today was my first day of high school.

I got up and changed into my black skinny jeans, blue t-shirt, and my dark blue converse. I went downstairs and looked at the kitchen table. Pancakes!! I love pancakes!! Finally something to get me motivated.

The only thing I was worried about was when I was finally going to find my mate. My mom has always talked to me about it, but I never understood. My dad and mom were happily married. I was an only child.

I was eating breakfast when I got a call. It was my bestfriend Chad. I picked up the phone.

"Hello"

"Hey, it's Chad. I'm running late and I can't pick you up today. I'm sorry."

He always takes me to school.

"It's fine I'll meet you at lunch."

"Ok, bye"

I'll call Iveth to see if she can give me a ride. I dialed her phone when she finally picked up.

"Hello"

"Hey do you think you can give me a ride today? Chad was running late."

"Sure I'll be by in 5"

"Kk bye."

I went outside and waited for her car to come. I saw a car pull up and got in the car.

"Hey"

"Hi, you ready?"

"Yup" I said.

"So did you find your mate yet!?" She asked.

"No, but I have the feeling that today is going to be the day."

My mom was a fae and my dad was a werewolf so I never knew if my mate was going to be a fae or werewolf. Technically I was half werewolf and half fae.

We arrived at the school and went to the office to pick up our schedules and locker combinations.

"My homeroom is at the other side of the school. So I'll see you at lunch."

"Ok, bye!"

I gave her a hug then I left.

Chad's POV

I just woke up to the sound of my alarm. Then I looked at the time. Oh crud! I was running late! I called Claire to tell her I'm late when she finally picked up.

"Hello," she said.

"Hey! it's Chad. I'm running late today and can't pick you up today. I'm sorry." I felt so bad.

"It's fine I'll meet you at lunch."

"Ok, bye"

I shifted last summer and always knew that Claire was my mate. But I guess she doesn't know yet. I don't know if I will be able to control my wolf today. I have to face reality. I looked at the clock 7:50. I'm going to be late school starts at 8!

I'll call up my friend, Alex, and tell him that I'm going to be late.

"Hey."

"Hey I'm running late today so don't stay outside, K?"
