I lid back in my bed, counting the ceiling tiles in my head. Mother was downstairs talking to my principal on the phone because I accidentally got myself in great trouble. Note to self, do not put a thumb tack on a chair that belongs to your English teacher no matter how low of a mark she gives you on a writing assignment. I hated that teacher. That's for sure.

I heard her step heavily on the stairs, she was angry I could sense it. She stormed into my room and started to pant. "You sent your teacher to the hospital?" She screamed at me, losing her breath.

"Mom, it isn't that bad! God," I continued to lie back.

"Christine! She went to the hospital!" Okay, maybe mom wasn't in the best mood at this moment.

"It's nothing really mom," I sighed. "She deserved it kind of."

"Christine I thought I raised you better than that," Mother carried on.

"Mom, it's no big deal at all, please. Just leave it be," I told her.

"You're grounded," Mom punished.

"Wait, what?" I sat up quickly and stared her down. "Grounded?"

"She had to her stitches, Christine. Little to me, do that again it'll be much worse! Be responsible," She demanded and walked out of my room, closing the door behind her.

I got out my phone and dialed Gina, she didn't really do the prank. It was mostly me and Rod, but she was involved for sure. "Hello?" She picked up, her soft voice echoed through the phone.

"Did they call your house?" I asked instantly.

"No?" She said. "Wait, are you grounded again?"

"Sadly yes, but I'm still going out tonight. No one can stop me, I'll get Sam to cover for me!" I told her getting up and walking to the window.

"Good, Rod will be there. And it's a college party thanks to your boyfriend," Gina thanked me. "Does your mother know yet?"

"Nope, he's nineteen. She'll skin me alive, don't worry about that though. It'll be all good by the end of the day," I grinned as I poked my fingers through the window blinds and looked outside to the ground that was two stories down.

"Okay, call me later? Mom's bringing me to the store did some junk food," Gina hung up without saying goodbye.

There was a difference between me and my mother, epically. I had a wild side with a college boy, yet she hardly had a good memory at all. My mother raised a good girl, but everyone has to break out of their shell one day.

This baby doll is about to become a cheetah..

If that makes any sense..
