Jenna's POV
I walked into the house with not a single sound to be heard but the cry of my babies upstairs. Where was Kathleen? She wouldn't have left my babies alone, that wasn't like her at all. I walked slowly up the stairs and ran my fingers over broken glass. I jumped back in pain, blood gushed from my left hand's ring and middle finger. But nonetheless I had to see what was going on upstairs, I had to make sure my babies were okay. The top of the stairs was open and the only open part in the entire stairwell except for the window, which now I realize was broken and the entry at the bottom. Blood was pouring from the highest stair and made its way down to the third step down to create a puddle of pure red liquid. What happened up here?
I stepped away from the blood to make sure it wouldn't get on my clothes, though my own blood was pouring down on my black and white pooka-dot blouse. I turned into the upstairs only to see a murder scene. Kathleen was laid across the hallway with a trail of blood leading to the staircase from the deep gash in her neck. I could tell she tried to stop the bleeding due to her hands being covered in light amounts of blood, only to be flung onto the ground on her sides. Kat's eyes were wide open, but they were no longer a beautiful blue, but instead was a cold, sullen grey that had a foggy feel. She obviously had been dead for hours, and according to how much blood she lost, she wouldn't even be able to survive if she was still alive. She'd die on the way to the hospital.
My eyes darted to the two corpses at the end of the hall and my heart fell in an instant. Laid next to each other was two beautiful child I watched grow up. It was Emma though, not Amber. How did Emma possibly get home if this was done earlier today. I suddenly realized that it happened when she got out of school, it happened when they less expected it. Benjamin was laid right next to her, his forehead bleeding onto his beautiful baby-doll face. Emma was shot in the chest right where her heart was, bleed out instantly and passed away without a second thought.
I fell to my knees and caressed her face as I took out my phone and dialed Kendal's number. "Hello, Sherif Daniels speaking," Kendal picked up instantly.
"It's Jenna. I need you to get police, an ambulance and a morgue car over her soon. Someone came and murdered part of my family," I said with a blank expression into the phone and slammed my average flip phone shut.
I continued to caress Emma's face while the police arrived. As they took my baby girl away, Kendal had officers feed and change Jake and Penelope. I sat and got jabbed with needles for stitches. Kendal tried to get me to talk to him, but I stayed alone. I stayed where I was when I caressed a dead child's face. Alex returned home later and held me in his arms for hours. But then we realized we had security cameras in the hallway.

Christine's POV
I laid my head against Rod's chest and felt him breathe. I felt hope for the first time in months. His first kiss was stolen away not even two hours ago and theres been many more since then and Mackenzie didn't even flinch.
"Maybe you should check on her," Rod said with his face in my hair, enjoying the "smell".
"Good idea," I released myself from his grip and walked over to Mackenzie. I laid my hand on her face, but it felt weird. Suddenly I realized what was wrong.
I slid my hand down to her neck and felt for a pulse, but there wasn't one. Her heart wasn't beating either, she was lifeless. I backed away and tripped in the foot of the bed, landing on my bottom. I fell in love with a girl who died on my watch just like Sam did.
"She's---she's dead!" I squealed at Rod who quickly ran over and checked her pulse. I began to cry.
All hope was gone in a matter of time.
