Christine's POV
I laid my head against the pillow of the hospital bed. My mother would be here soon to talk to me about her past like she promised. I was excited to be honest. She hardly even let me know the name of her enemy.
"Hey baby, sorry I got caught up with Amber," Mom walked in and sat right onto my bed. "She doesn't sleep well anymore."
"That's okay, mommy," I said childishly.
"So what do you want to know?" Mom asked me, but I think she already knew.
"Everything," I replied.
She told me everything she could remember, down to the detail that she snapped a girl's arm in two causing her to get expelled from her old school. That's how she met my father. That's how she was became happy. She told me everything that happened between her and Katrina and how I got the name Christine. She didn't leave out a single detail. She made me feel like one of the happiest girls in the world knowing so much about my mom. I felt closer to her then I ever felt before. I honestly felt like no matter what I did, she would always understand.
"I want to tell you something," Mom said after telling me her story.
"What mom?"
"I want you to name the baby," She told me and rubbed her stomach. I could see the baby bump now that I was looking for it. I never remembered my mother being skinny after I was born. She had too many pregnancies so her stomach just remained round most of the time. She didn't really want to lose the baby fat anyways...just in case.
"Really?" I asked her, smiling.
"Really."
"Alex if its a boy, and if it's a girl, Nevaeh," I always liked the name Nevaeh. If mom didn't have a girl, that would be my first daughter's name.
"Beautiful baby girl," She smiled.
For the first time in a long time, I was happy.
