'CHAPTER SEVEN
"Nepolean! What do you think you're doing!?" Ah, Mr. Payton, Mr. Payton. He loved testing my anger, that guy. But hey, I'd give him a break. It was only day one of my appearance here at this new school. It was a good choice for Neo to choose to go with Pablo and Elaine. This school was filled with a shit load of people. The girls here were hot. Especially that Lia girl. Damn would I like to—"Nepolean!" "Huh?" I asked finally snapping out of my trance. "What are you doing!?" it was funny how his face turned beat red when he was angry.
I looked down at my hand and realized that, somehow, it glided its way up onto Lia's knee, making its way up her thigh. I'm sure the whole school could feel the heat radiating off of Lia's red face. I swear it was impossible for girls to resist me.
I smiled seductively, giving her a wink before I removed my hand and pretended to stretch. I yawned. "I'm not quite sure I know what you mean Sacson." Oh man did he fume when I called him by his first name. he was so angry that he slapped his little torture stick onto his desk. "That is it! Get out of my class!" I grinned wickedly. Little did he know that he was doing me a favor. I needed a cigarette anyway. Bad. Do you know how it feels to be conscious for three weeks and not being able to inhale a single long murdering swig of smoke? Only because Neo didn't believe in smoking. There was something about it polluting the air and killing the animals. I don't know. Some dumb shit like that. But that was Neo for you, always caring about the environment. I shook my head. That boy was such a pansy ass.
I stood from my seat, gathering up what little supplies that I brought to his class and saluted him before I walked out, dipping out into the nice autumn air. I laughed at how ironic it was that where I stood to spark up my bogey was right out side of Payton's window. I grinned through the window at him, blowing the smoke out through my nostrils. He stormed over to the window and opened it. "Smoking on school grounds is prohibited! You could get expelled for that!?" he shouted. I stared vacantly at him, inhaling more smoke as he spoke, waiting for the perfect opportunity to exhale the thick grey into his face. Wait for it...wait for it... finally! "You listen here!" I blew it right into his eyes when he got close to my face, forcing him to retreat back into the safety of the class room, shouting, "I'm calling Pablo for this!" I shrugged, turning my back to the classroom and began wandering away from the building.
This was nice. I mean, the school could look more like a school and less than a prison, but other than that, this was nice. To me, it actually felt like I belonged here. I was surrounded by others like me and I even had my own rival. No, not Payton, although he was making his way onto that list. No, I was talking about sweet smart ass Asher. He had the balls to say something slick to me at breakfast. I kept quiet though, observing how he acted and reacted to certain things around him. The guy was a mess! Ha! Hard ass my ass. Just wait until lunch. That's when I was gonna get him.
He treated Neo like shit too! That's what pissed me off in the first place. So yea, maybe I did instigate the problem at breakfast but you couldn't expect me to sit there and not say anything to him. That would be impossible to do. It wasn't in my nature to just walk away.
I found myself walking to the stables, I was finally going to meet this amazing Ophelia. But maybe I should put this cigarette out before I head over to her. Her temperament was one thing that I would not match. I would rather not get my head get kicked off.
I dropped the lit tube of smoke onto the hay, immediately stepping it out so it didn't cause a fire, and than I walked down the isles of stables until I came upon Lady Ophelia. Jesus she was huge! Huge and beautiful. And with beauty came power so she was most definitely my horse. Ok, me and Neo's horse. Same difference. "Phelia." I cooed, seeing her ear twitch in my direction. It was only a feeling, but I was kind of thinking that she may not take kindly to me. I mean, Neo and I were two totally different people. He was the only one that she trusted. Than again, him and I shared a mind. Maybe she would be able to sense that and warm up to me as well. "Ophelia, girl."
She didn't turn to face me, she just continued to munch on the available hay on the wooden stable floor. Her lashes were long and acted as windshield wipers; keeping the bugs from flying into her eyes. Every single muscle in her body was well defined and perfectly crafted. This horse wasn't made, she was created. You can't make perfection. I clutched onto the wooden door, waiting to get a splinter while hoisting myself up. "Is there a reason why you won't acknowledge my existence?" I asked while I threw one leg over the door, struggling to get the other one over. She snorted and whinnied, deciding than that she wanted to show me that she knew I was there. I heard her come up behind me and she gave me a hard nudge to my side, pushing me back out of the stable. I landed on the side of my body, hard. "Shit." I hissed, cradling my wrist against my chest. It was already pulsing. That son of a—"Why are you being this way? You're never this way to Neo when he let's you....oh!" I got it then. She was holding a grudge because Neo promised to let her out early before every one wakes everyday. I messed that streak up and kept her in. god I was such a fucking idiot.
I covered my face with my hands, ferociously rubbing them over my eyes. "Oh, I'm sorry girl. I didn't realize that I forgot to let you out. How about I let you out now and come back later with an apple. Sound fair?" she snorted and continued to chomp on hay. I rolled my eyes. "Two apples?" look at me, bargaining with a dumb old horse.
She still continued to ignore me. "Fine!" I shouted, throwing my arms up in rage. "I'll give you three apples, two carrots and one sugar cube but that's as high as I'm willing to offer! You got that!" I shouted, pointing my finger at her smiling eyes. Yea she better like that. she left her stable easy enough, running into the corral like a crazy wild animal. I smiled at her spirit. Neo had a good taste in animals too. With a sigh, I took out another cigarette and lit it, leaning up against the fence post with my eyes closed.
This school would be simple. Pretty soon I'll have the teachers letting me do what I want. They won't know what to do with me.
"Echem."
