It all Started with Ross Shor

Chapter 4

Rydel's POV

I told Ross to bring a friend over, he has been happier since the other day. I can't wait to meet this friend, I hope they are nice. "Dinner! Everyone come to the table!!" I hear Mom yell from the kitchen. As I walk out of my room, I think to myself, 'Maybe I should have told Ross it was only family and Ell...' Oh well never mind. 

I sit at the table and hear a huge *THUMP*. Here we go, who was it this time!? I see Rocky recover from Riker's little 'accidental' push. Those boys! Then I see Ellington, I get up and hug him. He whispers, "Hey Delly Bear, who is Ross' friend? She seems nice..." I jump, he said she! Ross bought a girl over?

Ross' POV

Okay, yeah. Now I'm worried! Ratliff just introduced himself to Court and I think he told Rydel. Delly is going to kill me for not telling her. "Ross, who are they?" Court asks pointing down to my two idiotic older brother. I sigh, "The blonde one, well that's Riker and the other one is Rocky. They are my older brothers..." I trail off as our eyes meet. She starts to giggle and so do I. We skip down the stairs over Rocky and Riker, she stops laughing when she sees Delly.

Oh no, Delly is going to flip! Riker cvomes up behind me and tries to shake information out of me. "Hey baby bro! You gotcha self a girllll... What's her name??" He whispers really loudly into my ear. Oh shit! Court has been tackled in a way by Rydel who is now bombarding her with billions of questions.

Courtney's POV

"Hi, I'm-" I was cut off by the blonde girl running up and hugging me. "OMG you're pretty, what's your name? I'm Rydel, Ross' sister!" She screams as that Ellington guy tries to get her off me. I feel someone grab my hand and I spin to see Ross.

I guess I look scared because he grips my hand tighter and whispers something in my ear. It takes me a bit to process, "You okay babe?" Is what I heard, I give a slight nod as we sit down. An older lady comes out holding a bowl and gasps. "Oh, hi there. I am Stormie, the mother of 5 of these 6 kids. You are?" She ask as she regains herself,  smiling.

Ross puts his hand on my thigh and squeezes it. "Hi Stormie, I'm Courtney. Ross' friend from school." I say as those boys from the stairs smirk at Ross. "I'm Riker, sorry if we scared you..." The other blonde guy trails off. "This is my sister Rydel, and my brothers; Rocky, Ross- I guess you know that, and Ryland." He explains to me as he points to each with their name.

"Oh and this is my boyfriend and our drummer, Ellington Ratliff." Rydel explains messing up the other guys hair. I smile as I take it all in. "Well hi everyone. I'm Courtney." I say shyly as I twirl the bottom of my dress around my finger. 

"Court, this is my Mom Stormie and my Dad will be home in 5 minutes. His name is Mark." Ross says as he sits next to me and hands me a glass of water. 

Stormie's POV

It's not like Ross to bring a girl over when Delly says a friend. I'm going to look into this when Mark gets here. "I'm home!" Mark yells from the door as he comes into the dining room. He stops in his tracks and his eyes make their way over to Courtney. "Mark, honey this is Courtney, Ross' friend from school." I say to his, I make a weird look on the word friend so he understands my point.

"Courtney, darling this is Mark, my husband." I say to her nicely, it would be hard to take all of this in. There is 8 people here and she only knows one. She scans the room and speaks up, "So you are Riker, Rocky, Ellington, Rydel, Ryland, Stormie and Mark." She says with a gasp for air at the end. Wow, she got it right, "Well done! That's right. But you can call me Ratliff if it makes it easier." Typical Ell, going by the last name.

"Everyone dig in!" I say to the kids and Mark as they all start to grab food. I look at Courtney's plate. A spoonful of salad and a slice of bread. As she picks up her cutlery I notice her arms. Oh my, Ross has bought home a girl, supposedly his girl friend and she is a victim of bullying. 

Riker's POV

I see Mom looking at Courtney. "So Courtney, Uh can I call you Court?" I ask and she gives a shy nod. "So Court, what do you like doing? Do you have hobbies?" I ask trying to get Mom to focus from whatever she saw. Mom shakes her head and starts eating. 

"Um, well. I like to sing and play guitar, but not in front of people. I don't have that much confidence. Besides that I like to skate and go Rowing, OH! I also love Rugby Union!!" She says, I look at Ross and he has almost spat out his food. "GUITAR!? You didn't tell me you like guitar!" He says after swallowing his food.

She starts to giggle. She has a cute giggle, I see why they are 'friends'. "So are you two  just friends or like...?" I trail off, that's a bit much for dinner number one. But she looks over at Ross, he shrugs. "Courtney and I started dating on Monday night..." Ross says trailing off at the end. I look over to Mom and Dad, they have smiles going from ear to ear. The I hear a scream and look at Delly, "AWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, you two are so cute!!!" Rydel says jumping out of her seat and going to hug them both. 

Poor Court, Rydel can be pretty full on.

***After Dessert***

Ross' POV

"Uh, Imma go take Court home. I'll be back later." I say hugging Mom. "Okay kiddo. Have fun." She replies as we separate. I grab Court's hand and as we walk out the door, "Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! We're outta here! Cya's all later!" I yell as we run out to the car.
