Chapter 17

I got up from the table and walked over to Michael so I was standing in front of him. I raised my hand and slapped him hard. Then I grabbed my purse and slipped on my shoes then I left the house. It was 7 o clock at night and I drove to my aunt's house.
----Luke's Pov---
Michael just said something really mean to mommy. Then mommy hit him and she left. I got up from the table and ran to the door, she was gone. Papa made mommy leave. I ran up to her room and climbed under the bed and cried wishing my mommy was here. After a few mintues I heard my daddy calling for me. I stuck my head out from under the bed and I saw daddy standing in the doorway. "Come here Lukey." He said getting down on the floor and opening his arms. I climbed out from under mommy's bed and into my daddy's arms. "Mommy left. She said she would never leave." I sobbed into my daddy's chest. "I know baby. But she will come back I promise." He said while rubbing my back. "Why did she leave? Was Lukey a bad boy?" I ask looking up at my daddy. "No baby. You were really good but your papa was being mean and she left." He said standing up with me in his arms. I cried even harder. Why was my papa mean to mommy? Why did she leave me and Calum? I thought. I couldn't rap my head around it. We walked into the living room and I saw Calum in the fetel postion on the couch and crying. I made grabby hands at Calum and Daddy sat me next to him. It was my time to shine as a big brother. I pulled Calum into my lap and gave him a big bear hug. "It's gonna be okay Cal." I said hugging him even more. "Mommy gone." Cal said crying even harder. "She's going to come back." I said. Hoping that she was coming back.
-----Sarah's Pov-----
I pulled into my Aunt's drive way, I wiped away my tears that haven't stopped flowing out of my eyes. I opened the car door and went up to the house door. I knocked on the door with my knuckle and waited. On the outside the house looked normal. You know a normal gray two story home. But on the inside it was like a rainbow exploded on the inside. Each room was a different color and the walls were covered in family photos and photos of trips she went on. My aunt opened the door and pulled me into a hug. "Sarah what's wrong?" She asked leading me into the living room and we both sat in the couch I'm the living room. I told my aunt everything that happened in the past few days, how I got the job, about visiting my brother's grave,the phone calls and text from my parents and the slap. She pulled me into another hug. "I'm sorry Sarah that you have to deal with your parents. And that Michael sounds like a jerk but I bet there is something wrong that is making him act that way. But he had absolutely no right to say that to you. But this Luke and Calum sound like they really like you." My aunt says looking me in the eye. "Calum and Luke really do love me and I love them. They are the best but what michael said to me really hurt. I just thought that they would never say something like that to me." I said wiping away my tears. "Sarah your parents and Micheal are very wrong. You are a so strong, you have been way to much. Your brother, your uncle, Luke and Calum,and I love you so much. You have done so much don't let one rude jerk bring you down. You have nothing to be disappointed in, you were there for your brother." My aunt said looking me straight in the eyes again. "Thank you so much aunt Mindy. You were more like a mother to me than Tracy was." I said and once again pulled my aunt in to another hug. "Sarah, go back to the house I bet there missing you." My aunt said. "I don't know, I did slap michael. They could be mad at me." I said looking down at my fingers. "Sarah Jones! Don't think like that, Michael said that horrible lie about you. I bet there mad at him for causing you to leave." My aunt said. I sighed because I knew she was right. "Maybe I should call them." I said. "Yes, call them." She responded. I reached into my purse and pulled out my phone. I went into my contacts and selected Ashton. I held the phone up to my ear just hoping that they aren't mad at me for slapping there best friend.
-----Phone Call----
(S- Sarah A- Ashton)
A- Sarah! Oh my god! Are you okay?
S- Yes! And hey sorry about slapping Michael.
A- Don't apologize Sarah. I would have punched him to be honset.
S- Okay, How's Luke and Calum?
A- Well they haven't been well ever since you left. Calum is sitting in Luke's lap and they are both crying. I can't get them to stop.
S- Oh my. I am sorry for storming out, are they mad at me?
A- Don't apologize I would have left too, if I were in your shoes. Buy they aren't mad buy they really want you to come home.
S- okay. Don't worry I'm coming home right now. Bye Ashton
A- b.
---End of phone call----
I hung up before Ashton could say goodbye. "I love you aunt Mindy and thank you so much." I said pulling her into one last hug. "I love you too! Come by anytime. Bring the boys with you." She said. "Maybe I will." I said then I left the house and I hoped in to my car and drove to the house.
-----Luke's Pov----
I was still sitting on the couch with Calum in my lap and we were both still crying. Then Daddy came in with a giant smile on his face. He sat down next to me and I rested my head on his shoulder. "Why is daddy happy?" I ask. "I won a game on my phone." He said. Then Papa came in with an ice pack on his face. I shoot him a dirty look then looked away. I just want my mommy to come home. I felt my eyes starting to close, I looked down at Calum and saw that he was already alseep. I rested my head back on Daddy's shoulder and I let sleep over come me. Hoping when I wake up my mommy will be there.
-----Sarah's Pov----
I pulled into the driveway and parked the car. I took a deep breath then I grabbed my purse and I got out of the car. I walked up to the door and I knocked. A few mintues later, Ashton showed up at the door. "I am glad you're back." He said then he pulled me into a hug. I hugged him back and said "glad to be back." After a minute we both walked out of the hug."Come on the boys fell alseep on the couch." Ashton said walking into the house. I shut the door and followed him to the living room. Luke and Calum were both cuddled together on one end of the couch. "I'm going to bed. And don't worry about michael he went to bed." Ashton said then he went upstairs to bed. I walked over to were my 'little' boys were. I lifted Calum up off of Luke's lap. With that movement Calum woke up. Once his brown eyes opened he latched on like a kola bear. I sat down on the couch and I hugged him, we exchanged many 'I love you' and 'I missed you'. I leaned over and kissed Luke's forehead. His blue eyes slowly fluttered open. "Mommy!" He shouted. I pulled him into a group hug with him,Calum and me. "I am sorry boys." I told them. "It's okay mommy. I knew you would come back." Luke said. "Your right Lukey I will always come back." I said. "Also I think it's two boy's bedtime." I said. Calum was already alseep with his head in the crook of my neck. Luke was about to fall alseep with his head on my chest. "Lukey grab your blanket and penguin." I said. He nodded his head and grabbed his stuffed peguin and blanket from the floor. I grabbed Calum's blanket that was next to me and his dummy off the table. I grabbed Luke's hand and we headed upstairs to Luke's nursey. I set Luke down in the chair while I laid Calum down on the changing table. I unbuttened the onesie and I noticed that Calum had wet his nappy. I quickly untapped his nappy and wiped him down. He whined and kicked his legs but he was good. I slid a clean nappy under him and retaped the nappy. I rebuttned the onesie and lifted Calum up then I laid him down in the crib. I went over to Luke and did the same thing as I did to Calum. I picked Luke up along with his stuffed peguin and blanket and took him to my room. I laid him down on my bed then I left the room and went back into Luke's nursey and I picked up Calum and I took him to my room. I laid him down on my bed. I grabbed my pajamas and qutiely went to the bathroom and I quickly got changed. I left the bathroom and went back to my bedroom. I qutiely got on the bed between Luke and Calum. They both cuddled into my sides. I also made sure to get Calum's dummy from my pants and I put it in his mouth and I let sleep take over me. Dreading tomorrow.
